Vehicle Detail
Make me an offer - The current owner just died and I gave the family some money to help pay for his funeral in exchange for the car. I was trying to sell it for him prior to his death. The Title is a Clear normal title and it has NOT been branded. (auto check says it may have been branded but I have the title in hand and it is a clear title). Due to age the mileage is exempt and not listed on the title. This 1985 Jeep 4x4 has been used only in winter to get to work at a new car dealership where the owner worked as a mechanic when is snowed. This is a great restoration project candidate. The engine runs great and 4x4 works good too. I was originally listing this for the owner, my neighbor that was a certified mechanic that got sick and just went on disability. He was going to replace the power brake booster but unfortunately died a couple weeks ago from his illness before he could get it finished. I have the new power brake booster with a new master cylinder. The title is clear, signed and ready for transfer so thee will be no issues with the estate. NOTE: RE Auto check -The interior condition reflects that the mileage of 140K and is probably close to accurate and the "event" may have been from an error in reporting or a typo in the mileage report when the titled was changed. I have seen this car set most of the year for the last 12 years as it was only used when it snowed in Grove Oklahoma -- and that is not often during our mild winters. This car Runs and Drives with 140,000 miles listed on it but it needs some work. The body is in very good condition and is solid. Hood and side panel parts have some rust from paint loss. The 80's was not a good time for paint. Some old plastic parts are brittle and need replacing. The 1985 Jeep Wagoneer Limited is a Collectible Car with very high restored values. NADA values High $ 25,300 Average $ 14,600 Low $ 7,700 Hagerty (Classic Car) Valuation Concours $ 30,200 Excellent $ 20,400 Good $ 11,400 Fair $ 5,400 This car should qualify as a fair value under Hagerty and certainly the low value under NADA. Thus the selling price of only $3,000 for immediate sale of this collectible vehicle is a more than very fair price for the buyer. Jeep used parts rom GM and Chrysler to Build their cars during this period. Specifications: Engine GM 2.8 V6 gas (a very popular economical engine) Gas Mileage (when new) 16-18 MPG 4x4 Command Tracshift on the fly Years Built 1984-1990 Transmission Chrysler Torqueflite automatic 3 speed weight 3200 pounds What it needs. 1 Tire has a slow leak Body paint Muffler Hood Latch cable (I will replace this item this week) Power assist for brakes needs replaced (I have new booster with/ master cylinder) Front Power bucket seat does not work in all positions. There may be more issues with the car that I am not aware of. I just drove it from his house to mine. I personally would fix the power brake booster before going down the highway. In fact if I find time I may fix it myself. Not sure about the AC unit It likely needs recharging at the least. Sold as is where is. So you have to arrange any shipping. The car is for sale locally so it is subject to prior sale.
