This Jaguar was housed indoors for most of it's existence. Since I've owned it, not so much. I've kept it covered and for a 34 year old Jaguar it is still a gem. It is prime in it's existence but needs work. The transmission needs attention, it moves forward but needs the transmission bands tightened so reverse will work. The sunroof needs attention. The engine runs beautifully, does not burn oil, but needs attention. The rubber fuel hoses are beginning to fade, and leak. This beauty needs a forever home, someone who has the time to love it. I hope I can find a loving home for this beautiful 1983 Jaguar Vanden Plas. I can send more pics. The interior is awesome no rips or tears in upholstery. On May-27-17 at 14:15:42 PDT, seller added the following information: Full disclosure: I have kept my Jaguar in a secured storage lot with a high quality auto cover on it. Two weeks ago Denver was hit with a serious hail storm, when I went out to take more pics of my Jag I was sad to discover that the car did not go unscathed. It does have minor damage on the roof and trunk, the hood looks pretty good. The thick sheet metal of this car really saved it, as the damage is very light but yes noticeable. Also as I hadn't driven the car in about 8 months, I was ball parking the mileage, it is actually 168487 miles. If you've bid on the Jaguar and want to remove your bid, I totally understand. All apologies... This is exactly what I remember that needs attention- The transmission, forward works, reverse is very loose. The fuel lines need attention and there is a slow leak in the power steering system, I had to add fluid every week or so. The engine does not burn oil and runs beautifully. The sunroof does not work, a Jag tech told me the switch probably went bad.
