This 2009 Hyundai Elantra was a garage-kept daily-driver for several years in the D.C. area. A couple of low-speed side-scrapes and a low-speed nudge against a concrete bollard has resulted in some body damage, as pictured. It's all repairable and there is no serious structural damage underlying. The vehicle has not been driven seriously in some time (only to move parking spots occasionally), though it has brand new battery and is regularly run pending sale. It is not currently inspected. Buyer takes responsibility for in-person pickup and, as necessary, transport. The vehicle is sold as-is. My mechanic indicated it will need new tires to pass inspection. A fixer-upper or someone with moderate bodywork skill could likely have this thing spic-and-span in short order, but that's not something I'm looking to do myself! I figure it's time to let someone else have a crack at this instead of it sitting idle. Aside from the body damage, the thing ran like a top. It had several thousand dollars worth of maintenance year before last to make sure it was in great mechanical condition, and it has run reliably for me for years. All service records included in the glove box. Due to whatever sensor damage occurred in the front right, the TPMS light is stuck on despite proper tire pressure, and the power locks are not currently working. I was the owner and driver of the vehicle, and I purchased a new Hyundai in July, and that's the reason for the sale. It was a second vehicle, but I've found I have little use for a second car in my urban environment, so I am selling. (Garaging a second vehicle in the D.C. area is quite expensive!) The vehicle is relatively low mileage (just under 89K) for its year. It is quite reliable and was very well maintained mechanically until about July; it has been undriven regularly since that time. The vehicle is street-parked and able to be inspected by any local buyer. The photos are pretty self-explanatory: It's going to need some body work, but other than that, it's ready to roll! This would make a great little fixer-upper or weekend project for someone who wants to help a kid get into their first vehicle, or something for someone with access to a body shop to flip, especially given the mileage. The Elantra is a solidly-built little car, and this will serve someone well for years to come. Important Notes: Cash or cashier's check, in person at pickup, are the only options for payment.
