Vehicle Detail
1969 Big Block Camaro show car winner from Florida. 2 Awards from the 2014 Mirror Lake Auto Show in Lakeland, Florida.I purchased this Camaro back in 2015 to create my dream ZL-1 Camaro. Never got around to it. So this Camaro has never been driven since I have owned it. Previous owner performed the restoration. She is a true Hugger Orange and Deluxe Interior car, as verified by the trim tag. The previous owner tells me that it was a Big Block SS from New Mexico when he purchased it. I can't verify this, the early production Camaros had no X codes on the trim tags. The body has been restored with a show quality paint application base coat 4 clear coats that is virtually flawless with the exception of a scratch on the front and rear valances which happened during my possession. The new taillight valence/bezel is installed slightly off not allowing the tail lights to protrude properly, this drives me crazy. Other than this the body and paint is beautiful, smooth and deep in appearance. All the chrome trim is new as well as the stainless trim. All the glass is new with the exception of the two rear quarter windows. All new weatherstripping throughout. All the lights work properly. The trunk is clean with new splatter paint. Spare tire and jack is present as well as the trunk mat. The interior is new Deluxe Black Houndstooth. Carpet and Headliner are new. Door panels are new with new window cranks. Console has the gauge package with all working gauges. 140 mph Speedometer and 7000 rpm 5500 redline tach with working clock. Deluxe wood 3 spoke steering wheel and Hurst shifter. The stock radio and horn does not work at the moment. The dash could use further detailing, especially by the radio and clock to make it look sharper. Drivetrain has all been rebuilt. The vintage 454 is dressed to look the 427 part with the cowl induction setup mated to a rebuilt Muncie M-21 with a new clutch and related components. The distributor is the old points setup, One would updated it with an electronic setup for reliability if desired. Big block aluminum radiator for keeping her cool is installed. The rear end is a 12 Bolt Posi with 4:10 gears. Chassis and undercarriage has all been cleaned and painted satin black. All new Flowmaster exhaust system front to back with awesome sound. All new brakes and a new Cad-plated Delco Moraine booster, not the painted cad look. All five tires are vintage Good Year Wide Tread F70 x 15's on restored FW ralley rims with new derbys and trim rings. The tires are original 69's and used for show only. I'm sure I probably missed some items, I've described from my perspective so there are no surprises, overall she is a beautiful Vintage Muscle Camaro needing a new owner to enjoy!Inspections are encouraged and welcome. Please email any and all questions you may have. Note that there is NO RESERVE set! As commonly stated, all funds must clear prior to release of vehicle, shipping and handling is the responsibility of successful bidder. On May-09-17 at 13:17:49 PDT, seller added the following information: Thanks to a fellow auto enthusiest I located a small rectangular plate welded to the rear framerail on the driver's side. Indicative of a high performance dual exhaust Camaro (Z/28 or SS).Further inspection reveals a small hole by the firewall slightly above the height of the valve cover. This was the exit hole for the speedometer cable on a Muncie equipped vehicle only.Who knew you could trace some history without documents! If I find any additional information, I will update the description. Thanks.
