Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my rare Iris Purple 1973 CB350. This is a nice presenting survivor with original paint. I do have a clear PA title in my name. I would consider this a nice bike that needs some additional work to be a reliable bike. Cosmetically it's decent, the paint still shows well with some obvious patina, and a small ding on the left side of the tank under the honda emblem. Chrome is overall in nice shape with minimal rust. Front fender does also have a ding. Wheels and spokes are nice, with some pitting on the rims, spokes are not rusted and look nice. Rear tire and tube are a new, front has tread but should be replaced if you plan on riding. All the lights work properly except for low beam is out, and the green neutral indicator is also inop. Gas tank is clean inside, with only slight surface rust at some areas, but not enough in my opinion to need coated. Petcock, fuel lines, filters and bowl gaskets are new. Carbs disassembled and thouroughly cleaned and balanced. Plugs and plug caps also replaced. Oil just changed as well. Bike does start, run and ride. However sometimes it runs fine on both cylinders, sometimes it only runs on the left and sometimes just on the right. I haven't looked at the points and condensors, but I would certainly start with those, and it may cure that issue. Clutch does slip while riding. I only rode it about 2 miles, and am unsure how long it sat before I purchased it. It may start to grab with some miles put on it, or it may need to be replaced. The electric and kick start both work, however it has the typical broken starter button on the right handlebar switch. Previous owner wired in their own starter button on the left side of handlebar (pictured) that button is also not working correct either as it sometime keeps the starter energized, so I simply cut the wire. There are complete brand new handlebar switches listed here on ebay for around $50 which will take care of that issue as well. Brakes do work perfectly, both front and rear. Both original mufflers have small rust holes on bottom rear. Overall a clean example that obviously hasn't been hacked or cut up. Needs a little bit of work, but a great starting point. Buyer to pay for bike with cash upon pick up. Has to be picked up at my house. Buyer to make all shipping arrangements, and payment with Money Order, Cashier's Check, or Personal check only. Absolutely NO Paypal for final payment, even if you cover the fees, again I will not accept Paypal. Once your check clears, the bike will be ready to ship. Shipper will have to pick the bike up at my house. I will gladly work with your shipper to arrange a time.
