This beautiful CT 70 is a true survivor with just 918 original miles it is sure to leave you grinning from ear to ear like a youth again. It runs as good as it looks, all original Candy Ruby Red paint with very little patina (mainly on the fork ear). Since this bike was sitting for quite a while, I felt it necessary to inspect the internals of the engine. Ring end gap was .009 (within spec), I freshened it up with a light stone hone with nice 30-60 degree crosshatching and some new Honda Rings. This brought the ring end gap to .007. I then cleaned the head and hand lapped the valves. Center cases were painted and side cases were powdercoated. After a thorough inspection of all other internal engine parts, I replaced all wearable clutch parts and assembles the engine with new Vesrah Gaskets and seals. Valve lash and timing chain tension were set to spec and new points, condenser and spark plug were installed. The carburetor was in excellent condition as the previous owner drained all gas before storing, it was removed, cleaned, inspected and adjusted. The Fuel tank was cleaned and reinstalled with new fuel lines. The bike was then partially disassembled, cleaned and inspected. All chrome is original and was polished. the beautiful Candy Ruby Red paint is original and was cleaned thoroughly. The wheels were repainted as the Bridgestone TrailWings were left on them since they showed barely any wear and are in excellent condition. All bearing and brakes were inspected, replaced if necessary and adjusted. Peg and kickstand were disassembled and powder coated, along with the headlight bucket, battery tray and airbox. The electrical system was also inspected, cleaned connections. Headlight and taillight were replaced, as well as the ignition switch. A new maintenance free absorbed glass matt battery was installed and I set points to .016. She purrs like a kitten after I set the carburetor. I then adjusted the clutch properly and adjusted the front and rear brakes. Verified the horn, taillight, brake light and all other functions work properly. This Mini is sure to put a smile on your face and relive memories of your youth.
