You are looking at a 2006 Volkswagen Jetta TDI. Yes, this is a turbo diesel that is great on fuel. Super mileage. This vehicle has all of the bells and whistles. It has black leather interior. It has a sunroof. You will look great cruising in the car and get great mileage doing it. This is a super car for traveling on the highway or around town. This vehicle has had pretty much everything that goes wrong on these vehicles already addressed. This vehicle was purchased at auction with a bad camshaft and lifters. The vehicle has had the cam and lifters replaced at our shop. In doing so, the timing belt and components were inspected ( these components appeared to have been somewhat recently replaced and were deemed to be in acceptable condition). After replacing the camshaft it was determined that this vehicle had the dreaded dual mass flywheel rattle. Therefore the flywheel was removed and replaced with an aftermarket "upgraded" unit. In doing so we went ahead and took the liberty of installing two new front CV shafts and wheel bearings. The front brakes were also inspected and deemed acceptable. The vehicle has like new Bridgestone tires in the front and 20-25% Goodyears in the rear ( basically they could stand to be replaced). This vehicle has since been driven by my father for a couple weeks and roughly 1000 miles 700 of which on an out of town trip. Everything works on this vehicle just as it should with the exception of the CD player. It averaged roughly 36 MPG in overall driving and roughly 42 MPG on the highway. This is an excellent commuter/work driven vehicle. Please note that this is a used vehicle and there are some blemishes here and there. Oddly, there is a small rust bubble spot on the right front fender ( about the size of a 50 cent piece) there is no rust anywhere else on this vehicle. There are a couple minor scuffs on the two drivers side doors ( these may actually buff out). There is a scuffed spot on the dash above the radio where someone had stuck something. No leaks or drips, no funny smoke or noise, no excessive blowby, tranny shifts perfect. Great little car. We will also be happy to take this vehicle to the local VW dealer to have them look it over for you on your dime and time (you arrange the inspection and pay for it).
