Vehicle Detail

For sale today is an absolutely stunning 1999 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo that I believe was custom ordered by the original owner with a lot of desirable options. The car was well maintained its entire life and just looking at it is a testament to this. Starting with the exterior, it is in very good shape. Looking around the car, there is some things that are damaged that I know of. First of all, the previous owner had the car de-badged, meaning that the badges that say "Jeep" or "Grand Cherokee" were removed. This is not a big deal for some, but for those who want the emblems, I bought some that could easily be put back on. There are some very minor dings from car doors throughout, for instance there are some on the driver's side rear quarter panel, the passenger door as well as the passenger side fender. These are not even noticeable unless you focus hard on trying to find imperfections. The most noticeable thing is a little crevice dent in the rear hatch. It doesn't effect the look of the vehicle too much and any body shop could most likely take it out with paint-less dent repair. There is little to no rust on this vehicle. There is a tiny bit of rust on the inside of the door, however it is just a tiny bit and is completely fine and does not effect the vehicle whatsoever. There is a bit of rust on the trailer hitch. The most rust is on the transfer case skid plate. It is rusted all the way through there, but it is no worry as the skid plate can be removed and replaced for $115 or below. There is some rust where the front bumper attaches to the car, however I do not know the extent of it. There is also rust on the rocker panels which is a common issue, there are kits online to fix this issue yourself, otherwise any bodyshop could be able to do it. There is a crease in the front bumper, however it isn't too bad and doesn't effect the looks of the car. The wheels show their age, however it isn't too terrible. The body of the car otherwise is in beautiful shape, and the paint still shines like it is brand new. I have also just replaced the headlights. Also it has the very hard to come by genuine Mopar running boards. I bough these afterwards and installed them myself. They add a good look to the car. Mechanically, the car is very sound. I just replaced the transmission around a year and a half ago and it now shifts wonderfully. The engine runs smoothly and the exhaust note from the strong 4.7L PowerTech V8 sounds amazing. There are no codes stored in the system, I have used my OBD scanner to ensure this. I have replaced the crankshaft positioning sensor which now ensures this Jeep runs perfectly. This Jeep is equipped with the Up-Country Suspension package, meaning that from the factory it comes lifted, giving it a more aggressive look than a normal Grand Cherokee. Not to mention that it also has Quadra-Drive, the more advanced 4x4 system. This means that it has the Vari-Lok progressive axle system. Quadra-Drive also provides more traction when in need, for example if two wheels are off the ground, it will send power to the wheels that need it more. There are some really great YouTube videos explaining this option in better detail. It also has a trailer hitch in case you need to tow something. The original owner has said that the front CV boot is torn, making an occasional clicking noise on hard turns, I have never heard this noise. Original owner also said it is possible that the left rear axle bearings need replacement and the other rear axle bearing, however I am not sure. But what I do know is that the bushings need replacement. The original owner also described an issue in which the steering wheel makes noise when turning, his mechanic has said that it is just parts needing lubrication. Original owner also describes a hole in the muffler. Also it has a brand new starter. The interior is most likely the cleanest on eBay. There are practically zero stains on the seats, the headliner isn't sagging at all and is clean, the carpets are immaculate and the clean and stain-free carpet mats are wrapped up in plastic in the trunk. In my ownership, I have had the seats covered in plastic as well as the steering wheel. This car also has a clean trunk area with cargo cover, and the 10-Disc CD changer. It even has the never-before-used spare tire! The back seats and passenger seat look as though they are brand new, however the driver seat does have the cloth starting to displace (see photos). This truck is so clean on the inside, even underneath the back seats is clean! Also equipped is the sunroof which operates perfectly and the upgraded Infinity Gold sound system, which sounds amazing for 17 years old. All the gauges are perfectly functioning as they should. The only imperfection in the interior is some wear on the driver's armrest which is taped over. Also included in the sale is the original factory build sheet, a build list I had Chrysler send me, the original warning hang tag from the glove compartment, the original window sticker, owners manual, and so much more. Some things will not be included as I bought them after I bought the vehicle. I used the car as an extra vehicle so I did not put any major amount of mileage on it. I bought it from the original owner who took such good care of it. Below is a list of things that were done and when they were done. THINGS ORIGINAL OWNER DID: -March of 2008 at 181,000 miles: Transmission fluid changed. -October of 2008 at 191,000 miles: New brake rotors and pads, front and rear. OEM-November of 2008: Replaced heater and evaporator core. OEM-February of 2010: Replaced front drive shaft. OEM-April of 2010 at 217,000 miles: Replaced front brake calipers and pads, brake master cylinder and booster, as well as front shocks. OEM-September of 2010 at 220,000 miles: Front alignment and brand new Bridgestone H/L Alenza tires. -April of 2011: Replaced front hub. OEM -December of 2011 at 236,000 miles: Replaced rear brake pads. OEM -December of 2011 at 236,00 miles: Alternator replaced. The original owner bought the car brand new with 10 miles on it. No one has ever smoked in this car. I will try to summarize what is wrong very quickly: -The original owner told me that there was some minor oil leakage, however I only noticed a little bit inside the engine bay towards the bottom of the engine, there has never been any on my driveway or anywhere else. I never saw this as a problem. -Flipper Glass Struts ($20 on Amazon)-CV Boot -Axle Bearing(?)-Hole in muffler -Bushings I have also replaced a lot of things:Crankshaft Positioning Sensor NEW TransmissionHeadlightsStarter This Jeep is absolutely stunning. Don't let it be the one that got away. This is perfect for someone looking at a fun little project, or perfect for someone looking for a reliable daily car. This is probably the cleanest, well optioned Jeep on eBay. The price is reasonable for what it is, however I am open to any reasonable offer. There is an accident on the AutoCheck listed on 11/02/03. The original owner told me about this and he described it as it follows: There was NO body damage of any kind. I was parked at a red light and there was a car next to mine. A third car went between us and hit the passenger side mirror and flipped it forward, but sideswiped the car next to me. I had a bike on the back and I was afraid he may have hit a wheel on the bike and I would not be able to tell until I got home and I was able to test it out andinspect for any damage. I had the officer report I was involved in case the bike was damaged. I flipped the mirror back and all was fine. No damage to the Jeep or bike.
