1976 Alfa Romeo Spider convertible solid, rust-free, original body verified by recent mechanic inspection in january see photos for condition work done over the last few years: head gasket replaced in 2013 - excellent compression resurfacing of head, block, and pistons machined valves and seats, new valve springs new catalytic convertor rebuilt rear-end (differential) new clutch slave and master cylinder rebuilt SPICA fuel injection pump new starter new alternator full engine cleaning painted and polished air box new battery refurbished and improved wiring all new brake pads refurbished original seats - new padding and restitching upgrades: racing suspension springs and slightly lowered Koni racing shocks Firestone performance tires Rotta Mini-Lite alloy wheels Petronix electronic ignition and Flamethrower coil performance spark plugs and wires powder coated valve cover gaskets sound and vibration dampening material installed convertible top serviceable but could use replacement Original CA title listed 22,073 on odometer. Previous sales description of this Alfa states that the mileage was believed to be correct; however there is no way to verify other than the overall solid and good condition of the car. This what the previous owner wrote in 2014: "I've tuned it specifically to pass California smog. It's passed three times in six years. If you are in CA, I have about 30 days left on the smog certification, so if you buy it in August, you may not have to smog it for two years. If you are not in CA, you don't care, lucky you..." Car is solid and dry. Repainted from original silver at some point. Nice looking car, but as with all vehicles viewing in person is recommended. Current owner previously owned '80 and '63 spiders, and now finds the '76 a bit too low to easily get in and out of after two hip replacements. Looking for a late '60s / early '70s sedan instead.
