You are bidding to purchase a 1999 Ford Escort LX 4 door sedan that has been driven on average less than 2,200 miles per year far less than 15,000 the industry average.These miles are confirmed thru Auto Check (with a very impressive score and a no accident history),the prior owner and without question the outstanding condition of the vehicle.These are the kind of miles you would normally find on very pricey 2014 and 2015 models but VERY rarely on a 1999. *************************** We feel the fairest way to sell this unique little automobile is for you the buyer to set the price,yes you after all isn't that the best way to buy you price it? *************************** This handsome little car comes to us from a very nice suburb just out side our nations capital.We find this vehicle clean from front to rear and top to bottom with minimal cosmetic imperfections (dings,dimples,scuffs ect).We see no corrosion on the doors,fenders,panel or undercarriage.All lenses,trim and moldings are clean and straight.The windshield is clear and clean showing no stone bruises,chips,cracks or wiper mar.The original factory finish still has that new car luster.There are a very fresh looking matching set of Sumitomo p185/65r 14 all season radials riding on the original factory rims with all wheel covers present showng no curb or road rash.The unused spare and all jacking hardware are present and stowed properly.In our opinion this little guy has spent nuch of his time garaged. ************************** The interior is as neat and tidy as you are ever likely to find on any vehicle of this vintage.The dash shows no sun fade or degradation.The original headliner is clean and tight.The upholstery,carpeting and all appointments are immaculate showing NO signs on any neglect or abuse.It is very evident this little guy has never been smoked in,eat in or used to carry pets,so rare to find these days and so refreshing. ************************** Mechanically there are NO worries here.The well proven 2.OL I4 cylinder engine fires to life with the click 0f the key coming to idle at specs.We see no oil leaks or smoke around the block or from the exhaust.On the drive the acceleration is very responsive,the front end is tight and pleasing with no errant axel noises (as is sometimes the case with front wheel drive vehicles) and the automatic overdrive transmission shifts on point thru the gears.The brakes stop this guy confidently with no pull or shudder.
