My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2001 Mercedes-Benz E320 4Matic wagon. I would rate the exterior of this E320 to be on the low side of AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. As you can see throughout the photos, this E320 wears her share of beauty marks. The most noticeable is the dent on the left fender and damage to the bumper cover at the same spot. There are a few paint flaws on the shoulder of the right fender. There is a scrape along the LR bumper cover and a little bubble of corrosion on the tail gate. All in all, not too hateful for a high mileage car. You're probably not going to impress anybody with this E320, but she drives right. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory wheels have been upgraded with a set of aftermarket wheels, which show well for their age. The tires are a matching set with good tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this E320 to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for it's age and mileage. Again, please keep in mind that this is a higher mileage wagon. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well throughout the interior. The dash and headliner are clean. The leather seats show well for their age and are comfortable. Both front seats are power operated and heated. As with any older vehicle, please don't expect the interior to be new. It looks, feels and smells like an older car. Nothing horrible...but not minty fresh. The power windows, locks, seats, mirrors and sunroof all work properly. The audio system is original and sounds good. The volume knob to the radio is a little temperamental, which is common as these cars age. You can change the volume with the steering wheel controls. The climate control system is fully automatic and appears to be working properly. It's a little too cold to tell if the air conditioner is working effectively, but I have no reason to suspect it doesn't. I can tell you that the heater works properly. This E320 wagon has the desirable 3rd row seating option. The cargo area is spacious and clean. The 3rd row seat opens and closes easily. The original cargo cover / interior partition is still present and works properly. Again, please take your time to check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this E320 appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 3.2L V6 starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine does not smoke. Her road manners are good for an older vehicle. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. The rear shocks are a little bouncy for my taste, but I've driven worse. You'll probably want to replace them within the next year or so, depending on your driving preference and habits. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine keeps perfect temperature and feels strong. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The automatic transmission engages smoothly and shifts properly with no issues. The 4Matic All Wheel Drive system is tested and working properly. Out on the highway, she drives nice and straight with no complaints. This E320 4Matic has a current PA safety and emissions inspection good through the end of August, 2017. If you're looking for an inexpensive AWD Benz wagon, this E320 should be at the top of your list. It's not going to win any trophies at your local car show, but all the important stuff is sock solid.
