Vehicle Detail
Amazingly solid 1962 Plymouth Sport Fury. Saved her from the desert around 4 years ago and have been gathering parts since. Floors, frame rails, trunk and most of body rust free. See one picture of underside of car floor pans, still in factory primer!!! Most of underside to include rear underside looks like this! This is the most solid early b body I've ever owned, yes it has a patina or surface rust but is so straight and will clean up easily for restoration or as suggested by many, leave body as is and put on road. Car has no engine and transmission now but was 361 HP, Push button auto car with PS and PB. Car has later 8 3/4 rearend under it. Car needs restored and of course does NOT drive. Has all glass, factory buckets, console (in beautiful condition). Has restorable door panels and seat cores. Comes with another dash core with good wiring. Gauge cluster in now is replacement and very nice. Have an NOS right side dash pad that comes with. All windows operate. Has most of Sport Fury trim now. Those pieces need restored but hard work of finding them done. I have the hard to find upper hood strip but it's not attached. Now for the bad stuff (not too bad). Car has small amount of rust through. Drivers side of cowl (see pic) has couple pinholes and directly underneath under dash has spot that needs repaired where stuff sat in cowl. Rest of cowl very nice. Drivers fender has spots on lower dogleg that need attention, there's a quarter size spot under drivers door on rocker that needs fixed, there are two spots on drivers side rear well that have some putty in them that's cracking out but they're small (one spot at front of arch bottom and one at rear bottom). Looks like old dents that were filled and need fixed correctly. Passengers fender has some bubbling on lower dogleg. Decklid has spot where mice built nest and it rotted the substructure near drivers side lip of lid. Rest of decklid very nice though. Hood front body line has some pinholes along front but otherwise is nice and solid. Car is very dusty still from being in desert. Again here are some of the Extras (some reposted above): will come with nos door and trunk locks with keys. NOS Dash pad passengers side, another rust free dash core with wiring and push button mechanism. If you don't see it or isn't listed please don't assume is there. Ask because I'm sure there are somethings I'm missing. Overall this is a great car to restore and though nappy looking is very solid and straight. Thank you for looking. Cragars currently on car are NOT included in sale. Will have steel wheels or possibly another set of cragars as rollers. On Mar-12-17 at 17:49:33 PDT, seller added the following information: Gathered up more extras that will go with car: 727 pushbutton big block trans (need rebuilt), heater box, 1963 22 inch radiator (not sure of application). Trunnion driveshaft. Im sure I'll find more and will hook winning bidder up.
