Vehicle Detail
1982 Honda Trail 110. My first bike was a trail 90 and when I found this bike at the New Braunfels swap meet I decided I would like to have another one. I have had it about a year now and have found and repaired multiple issues turning it back into a pretty good driver. So I bought it as a running bike and immediately after bringing it home found a few issues that needed attention. The gas tank had light rust, not bad but enough to slowly put fine brown silt into the carburetor so I removed the tank, cleaned, etched, and lined with POR fuel tank liner (good stuff). Also had performance issues with the carburetor, and after having difficulty getting clean finally was able to get the job done with an ultrasonic cleaner. After that I found 2 issues the clutch would slip when kick starting and that while driving around the shifter would occasionally go to neutral when shifting between gears. The remedy for this was a new set of clutches and I found a shifting roller mechanism that centers the shift drum had broken inside the RH side of the engine. Those two items got the bike back on the road. After venturing out a few times I had a couple of issues where the bike would just die out and leave me on the roadside.... This simple issue ended up kicking my butt! after repeated carburetor, fuel and ignition checks I finally figured out the original gas cap was not venting. New cap and all is right in the world. Now the bike is a one kick wonder that pulls my big frame around just fine. The top speed seems a little low to me and I am not sure if the rear sprocket has been changed. High and low range work as they should. I have not washed, waxed, or tried to cover anything up. The bike is nice but not perfect. Covers show some wear, rear spokes-wheel-brake-shocks have some corrosion but nothing bad. Tires are nice, Battery is a nice AGM. Neutral, high beam, and turn indicator works, headlight works, tail light works. Here are the two issues. Rear turn signals are currently working but are temperamental. This rear tail light/turn signal was not hondas greatest creation and tend to have grounding issues. Like I just said Currently working, but temperamental. And the brake light is not very bright from the foot pedal and does not work from the hand grip. I assume the switch on the hand grip is bad. CLEAR title in my name. Thank you for considering my auction!Bryan512-750-6400
