Vehicle Detail

I'll miss this car. We've moved kids to college, gone on ski trips and tooled around. With the roof rack, open back and the rare bed extender, there are so many times we found the car useful. 2006 is the last year of the Baja, and it is an attention getter. You get all sorts of flexibility getting around and bringing stuff. Check out the pictures of the extended bed - it's a major advantage/convenience. I bought the car used in 2013 with 146k miles, and have done standard maintenance. It has a new head unit with CD/MP3/Bluetooth capabilities. Pictures show great condition underneath - no significant rust. In the pictures you can see the imperfections in the car - not surprising for a 2006 car. The front edge of the hood has the worst scrape and is seen in the pictures. Also there is a tear in the driver seat (pictured). Other issues include the single key FOB that works for unlocking but not locking. Appears to be a slow leak in the coolant system. I had the system pressurized and no leak was found, but I do have to refill the radiator every few weeks-months. My suspicion is that this is a leak at the cylinder head. A month ago we drove back and forth from NY to Boston without a problem and without needing to do anything with coolant system. You'll see that the check engine light is on - the codes are for an oxygen sensor (P0457, P0137, P0420). It's missing the grill on one of the fog lights. Also the car front grill was smacked by the back of an SUV. This required new radiator and hood. And the issue with coolant no better or worse after this. As shown, tires are in good shape. Also shown is a picture (last one) of the Baja pass-through, where the back opens up so that when the rear seat folds down, you can slide longer stuff into the cab. You'll see the bed extender flipped into the bed in this picture, its storage position. Call for a test drive any afternoon or evening this week (the weekend is not possible). I am listing this locally and so reserve right to end the bidding early. According to Kelley Blue Book, the value for this car (good condition) from private seller is $5,277. Happy to answer any questions.
