Vehicle Detail

The Victoria body style is one of the more rare Model A body styles. This is a late Steel Back model. This car appears to have been professionally restored by a previous owner and still has a very fresh appearance. The paint, chrome and interior are very nice with very minor wear. The car is equipped with a 12 volt alternator and electrical system. The battery is less than 6 months old. The wheels are the popular Kelsey Hayes with 6:50x16 tires. Added safety features include front seat belts, turn signals and bright LED tail lights. The interior window moldings and dash rail have been wood grained. The interior is done in the original style and type of fabric. The stock 4 cylinder engine starts and runs very well. The cooling system has been pressurized. The shock absorbers work and the links have been restored. I live in hill country so for peace of mind, I completely went through the mechanical brakes replacing the brake drums with a new cast iron set. The linings and other mechanical wear components had been replaced with new parts so the brakes are excellent. The underside of the car is very clean, it is like working on a new car. I purchased this car from a friend who could no longer enjoy it. I have sorted it to a point that it is safe and ready to "go". I am selling the car so I can finish restoring another old ford. I am not interested in any trades, I am not a dealer. The car is for sale locallyCall or text if you are truly interested.619 204 1397 On Feb-13-17 at 07:45:25 PST, seller added the following information: Additional information and answers to questions: There are no major leaks, just the normal Model A "spotting" at steering box, bell housing and transmission. The cooling system, carburetor and differential do not leak. Electrical system is 12 volts and fuse protected. The non working windshield wiper is vacuum operated. New owner may wish to convert to electric. The All Steel body colors are Mandarin Maroon and Black with Vermillion Red wheels. There is one 3/8" paint chip near the rear hood latch on the passenger side fender that has been touched up. There are some minor scratches at each hood latch where the painted surfaces normally make contact. The hood has the accessory hood holder brackets that support the hood sides while open. The Victoria body style is popular for touring because it affords more leg room than other body styles. The slanted windshield is popular for night driving because it prevents headlight glare from following cars. The Victoria body construction is mostly steel as compared to other popular Model a body styles that incorporate more structural wood. One might consider the time and expense for an owner or shop to bring a car to this level of fit and finish. I do not know the extent of the mechanical restoration but, in my opinion, this car is ready to enjoy locally and will show very well. It cruises fine at 45-50 mph and has the stock non syncromesh 3 speed transmission. If one is into showing, this his car is a candidate for Touring Class. There is a new premium car cover included with this car.
