1997 CHEVROLET S-10 Description: This vehicle was purchased new by the Town of Bedford in 1997. It was used in the Public Works department as a general use truck. The vehicle runs and drives. The overall condition of the vehicle is poor. The front suspension needs work. Payment must be received within 3 days of the close of the auction. Payment must be in the form of a Money Order, Personal Check or Certified Check. Checks. Money Orders and Certified Checks should be made payable to "Town of Bedford". If paying by personal check, the auction item may not be picked up until 14 days after receipt of payment. Payment must be sent to: Town of Bedford Attn: Virginia Williams 215 E Main St Bedford VA 24523 All items must be picked up within 10 days after the close of the auction. The successful bidder must make all arrangements for the loading, packing, boxing, moving and shipping of the item. All items purchased must be removed. Arrangements can be scheduled by calling D. W. Lawhorne at 540-587-6081. Items that are not removed within 10 days shall be charged a storage fee of $50.00 per day. Auction items will only be released to the winning bidder or his/her agent as designated in writing. The description provided in this invitation to bid is based solely upon general observations. Items listed may need repair or be incomplete. Bidders are invited, encouraged and cautioned to carefully inspect the property offered in the auction prior to submitting bids. Failure to inspect property shall not constitute grounds for a claim or for the withdrawal of a bid after the auction's close. The items listed are surplus Town equipment and should be assumed to have had substantial use. All items are sold “as-is” and “where-is” and come with no warranty or guarantee.
