Vehicle Detail
Turn key 1983 Jeep CJ7 up for auction. Drive this one home as is. Lots of money and time spent on this Jeep. Miles will go up as I drive it a couple times a week. Its loaded with stainless accessories inside and out. It was painted about 4 years ago, but it still looks really good with only a couple places showing. The tub is a solid 9 on a scale of 10 with very minor bubbles/surface rust on the windshield frame and passengers side fender (see pics). 6" Rough Country suspension lift, greaseable shackles front and rear, new Mickey Thompson style 15x10 aluminum wheels, 33x12.50x15 B.F. Goodrich all terrain T/A's with less than 2,000 miles on them. New brake lines, wheel cylinders, linings and pads, new Virginia state inspection this month, new exhaust, catalytic converter, muffler and pipe, new battery, starter, alternator and solenoid. Warn 8500 lb. winch, Smittybilt front bumper, Warn rear bumper with the heavy duty swing out tire carrier, reece hitch, wired for a trailer, tow hooks, sway bar disconnects, Hi-lift jack, LED off road light, KC off road lights all work as they should. This Jeep is off-road capable for sure, but I haven't had it off-road. The engine was completely rebuilt last January 12th 2016 by Bo's Performance in Greensboro N.C. It has a Clifford tubular header, Offenhauser aluminum intake, 390 cfm Holley 2-barrel carburetor, new fuel pump, tank and sending unit. The clutch and pressure plate were replaced then also. The Jeep has the Dana front diff with the chrome cover, AMC 20 rear with upgraded Yukon 1 piece axles and a chrome cover also. It has the aluminum case Borg Warner 4-speed and the Dana transfer case. Warn manual hubs that work as they should. 4 wheel drive works great with no problems. I drove it in the snow last week several times. I have a new factory fuel gauge and temperature gauge in the box that will go with the Jeep. The Jeep has a Pioneer cd/fm/mp3/ipod ready stereo with 4 speakers. It sounds really good. Drivers seat has the seam coming loose in one place on the bottom of the seat. It has a full roll cage that is bolted in the front floor boards with plates. Tub has very little rust at all (see pics). Frame has been repaired at the rear on both sides by a certified welder at a local metal shop (see pics). It looks great and is really not noticeable because it was done so nice. It has tilt steering, power steering with the steering box being replaced about a year ago, dual steering stabilizers, power disc brakes that work great. The Jeep drives excellent. It does not shimmy, shake or wander all over the road. I've drove it on main highways at 65 mph with no problem and one hand on the wheel. Heat works, all gauges work except fuel and I have the new one that's included. I just changed the oil and filter a couple weeks ago, greased all the fittings and checked all the fluids. Its ready to go. This Jeep doesn't leak anything. Previous owner stated he put the diamond plant on the sides because he like the way it looked and it was not to cover up rust. I have looked inside the rocker panels and no rust is apparent. You can get in this Jeep and drive it without spending money on it. I am sure I am forgetting some stuff on this Jeep. Its not perfect, but it is an above average driver quality Jeep. Winning bidder can drive it home or I can get you a shipping quote. I have 2 shippers I use and both are very reasonable. Please look at the pictures and check my feedback score. I try to include everything I know, but if you have any questions feel free to ask. I check my email daily and will respond promptly.
