I have owned this firebird since about 2004. I drove it less than 100 miles total. Then I put it in storage, inside non-heated personal self-owned storage unit until this year. I am the third owner. The car was sold to the first owner new in 1967 who traded it in 3 years later to the salesman who bought it himself. The sales man who was the second owner sold it to me in 2004. He passed away and I only used it parades. While attempting to sell it earlier on ebay, I had it put up on a lift to see under it. It has bondo behind the rear tires on both sides but the mechanic said he thought the car was a 7 out of ten or in pretty good condition. I'm not a mechanic but my brother did replace the brakes just before I put the car in my own storage in about 2008. When I took the car out of storage and moved it closer to me in 2016, it started right up and adding some transmission fluid (probably a gasket leak) drove great (but stopping was a different story). The firebird will need gaskets replaced and brakelines repaired, that and the bondo is the reason why Im not asking that much for it. Ive looked into the book values (but you should too), in great condition this car is about 38000.00, fair condition is about 17000.00, and in poor condition is about 9500.00. Again, this car is in fair to good condition but will need some work as outlined above. I am just not the person to do the work as Im not a mechanic and someone deserves to drive this car and pay more attention to it than I have.
