This is a 1976 MC440 that is 98% restored. A few minor finishing bits are required (exhaust pipe rear mount, gas cap, fuel line, etc) Using parts from two bikes and taking the best pieces I have assembled what you see here. All parts used are 1976 Maico parts as numbers are all correct. In the photos you will see parts left over that are included in this sale. These parts themselves are quite valuable and one could create a second bike (with some new parts added) or use them as race spares if vintage racing was the objective. One could also finance the purchase of this collection by selling off the unused / unwanted parts. The bike has many new parts purchased new during the restoration including: Plastic kitAir filterSprocketsChain RubbersMagura gripsFork sealsMagura controls (levers, cables)TiresSeatGraphicsetc... Most of these parts were purchased from Canadian Maico. The frame has been powder coated and most nuts and bolts and various hardware have been replated. The carb currently mounted is a Mikuni but the Bing carb is in the parts supply. The additional parts include an MC400 engine and an MC250 frame both 1976. Within the parts supply, you will find a low pipe, and a high pipe. The extra tank is excellent condition ready for polish or left with original decals and patina. Akront rims, original forks, additional set of red plastic, etc. This motor ran before the restoration began but has not been started since it has been reinstalled in the frame. PLEASE NOTE: There is no ownership for either bike. I am selling with a "bill of sale" only.
