This was my "bug out van". Used for getting away: camping, fishing, hunting and golfing. It is ready to go on an adventure today. I just took it for a full check up in September and got all the necessary maintenance done and added new spare tire, new shocks front and rear, heavy duty bump stops, and left front hub. I would not hesitate to drive it on a 2,500mi journey tomorrow. The van started it's life as a plain 2500 Cargo Van with manual locks, seats, and windows. The original owner lived on the west coast and had the high roof and roof vent added, plus had the wheel wells modified to make the interior floor flatter. When I got it from the second owner they had not yet started fixing it up. Since I got it the list of improvements includes: Go Rhino Bull Bar, LED light bar on front, Kenwood stereo/DVD/Bluetooth/backup camera viewer integrated and new speakers, adjustable back up camera, shore power outlet and interior powerstrip, custom "Bed Rug" which can be removed powerwashed and put back in easily, brand new 2016 seats, brand new Marathon Seat Covers, LED interior lights, fully insulated with blue board and spray insulation, sound proofed throughout the entire interior prior to building it out, paneling with cord ties and stretch netting storage, 5gal gas can added to rear door, shotgun safe on rear overhead storage area, masterlock personal safe added to overhead cab storage area, professionally tinted front windows and windshield, platform bed with new queen sofa bed mattress (less than 7 nights slept on it) and bamboo mattress cover. Everything works great including heating and cold air. NEVER been smoked in. Kenwood stereo is also a DVD player and you can press and hold the volume button and the back up camera comes on even if your not in reverse. The tires are nearly new. So, what's wrong with it? Well not much. The previous owner hit something with the right front bumper which scratched and dented the bottom right side. In a rush before a fishing trip this summer I tinted the cargo area windows myself and they good, but not great. You can see the minor damage in the photos. The van is really just awesome and I did many of these improvements at the end of this season to get ready for next season. The only reason I'm selling is that some of my adventures require 4x4 and I stumbled upon a 4x4 van for a great price this week. So, I have to start over and build that van out. NADA retail for a base model Express 2500 Cargo van with 140,000mi is $10,800. Most of the 2008 Express 2500 cargo vans I could find on cars.com or autotrader were going for more than $11,000. The toilet and generator will be included for the buy it now price; the toilet and generator are worth $1,300 combined used, they were about $1,800 combined new.
