Up for sale is a 1976 Honda CB550 Super Sport. I purchased this bike from an estate sale of a gentleman I went to church with. He was the original owner, and only rode it into the mid 80's. The title is clear and in my name. It's in really good original form with only minor changes and great low mileage. I've ridden it some over the past few years, but it's time to move on. This bike has the original paint and seat, and even comes with the original tires if someone wants them too. I replaced them with Firestone Deluxe tires - Sizes are 4.00-18 Rear and 3.25-19 Front. I felt safer riding on new tires, but held onto the originals. The factory muffler is missing, and it currently has a small chrome extension on the end of the header. The hardware to attach the factory muffler is included, but no muffler. There is also a small dent/blemish on the front fender, but the chrome is still decent on it, and I just never saw the need to replace it. One other minor change are the new shocks on the rear. They were able to lower the rear of the bike about an inch which just made it easier to handle at traffic lights, but they look similar to the original style shocks. The mileage is original - 6,680 and it runs just as expected. Easy to kick start and electric start is smooth too. The brakes have been cleaned and inspected, and it stops really quick and smooth. This past summer I rode this bike across Skyline Drive in Virginia for about 60 miles and it was a blast. This bike cleans up great, and someone could really polish it up even more if they desired, or just ride it a bit and enjoy a solid survivor. It also comes with the original owners manual.
