Vehicle Detail
1985 Ford Mustang GT 302 HO 4-Barrel Carburator 5 Speed This is a Collector's Dream !!! I am a Disabled Combat Veteran and must begin down-sizing This GT is Absolutly Incredible..Drive's Like New Then again with only 22,000 miles how could it not Car was stored for about 20 years, I bought it from a Fellow Veteran After it was taken out of storage, alot was done Cleaned Fuel Tank, Blew and Cleaned Fuel Line's New Fuel-Pump, New Fuel Line's to Carb. Carburator was removed and Re-Built ( carb. Dipped and cleaned rebuilt w/Ford Perfomance Kit) New Heater-Core, New Heater Hoses and New Waterpump, w/Ford fail-safe Thermostat I've been Fortunate to have been around, and yes drive them for over 3 Decades, and this is Truly a "Driver's Car" If you Serious and have the Fund's for this GT, know it will Only Rise in Value for those of you who know why the 85' 5.0 is "The One" , well this next paragraph you Know !! For 1985, the front end was restyled with a grille-less nose with a horizontal air intake slot. The Mustang GT received new E5AE cylinder heads, a revised Holley four-barrel carburetor, a new and more aggressive roller camshaft (only in models with the manual transmission), less restrictive exhaust manifolds, and a pseudo dual exhaust which brought more power to a conservatively rated 210 hp (157 kW) engine. The HP was Understated, many Dyno'd from 215 to almost 230 Bone-Stock.This would be the last carbureted V8 in the Mustang. The '85 utilized gas struts, variable rate springs and a rear quad shock arrangement. The front anti-sway bar thickness increased to 1.3 inches from 1.125 inches and the rear anti-sway bar was bumped to 0.83 inches from 0.79 inches. In addition, new Goodyear P225/60VR15 uni-directional Gatorbacks were mounted on new 15x7 inch wheels to match the suspension to the powerful engine. The transmission gear ratios were improved with a 3.35:1 first gear (lower than the 2.95:1 gear of 1984) in the new “World Class” T-5 and a short-throw shifter helped quicken gear selection. Axle ratios in ‘85 were 2.73:1 (standard) and 3.08:1 (optional) for the 5-speed Don't Pass up an Opprtunity like this one... I watched a Red 85' GT one go one day.. On Nov-23-16 at 13:02:50 PST, seller added the following information: I Bought this GT from the Original Owner, he moved from M.D. to S.C. I have Pics of underside if needed, it was UnderCoated when New..I can't express how much an 85' Carburated GT Pulls So Hard when those Secondaries Open Up !! Collectable Grade..
