Up for auction is an BLACK 2006 JEEP LJ WRANGLER RUBICON UNLIMITED HARDTOP WITH ONLY 24,800 ORIGINAL MILES. This Jeep is referred to by collectors and the "Unicorn" because it is so rare to find them for sale and it is especially rare to find one with these options, color, condition and super low mileage. Starting with the way the Jeep came from the factory, this was the LAST PRODUCTION YEAR OF THE LJ RUBICON UNLIMITED. This Jeep was factory equipped with the legendary 4.0 liter straight six 6 cylinder motor, these motors can go over 400,000 miles with proper maintenance. The transmission is an 42RLE 4 speed automatic and the transfer case is a part-time 4x4 Rock-Trac NV241 and the Jeep has the ability to lock the front and rear differentials from inside the cockpit for true 4WD. The Jeep came with dark grey cloth interior and featured a factory XM/SIRIUS satellite radio with 6 disc changer (no longer in the Jeep but works perfectly and goes with the Jeep along with the stock speakers in the sell). Other options include air conditioning, tilt steering, auto-dimming rear view mirror, tachometer, tripmeter, compass, temp.,cruise control, leather wrapped steering wheel, original owners manual etc. (I am sure I forgot something). Custom Sounds has been San Antonio's premier stereo shop for 25 years, I have had MANY vehicle stereo systems installed over the years with them and they are the exclusive shop for the San Antonio Spurs. The stereo has been tuned so that you will experience rich, filling sound at low volume instead of the "Boom Box" sound kids want. The stock stereo and speakers comes with the Jeep. While the Jeep was at Custom Sounds they installed a COMPLETE DYNAMAT KIT before they installed the stereo. The stereo is VERY tasteful, well executed and not intrusive. The total cost of the equipment and installation was well over $7000.00. This Jeep has never been abused or off-roaded as you will be able to see from looking under the Jeep, it has always been garaged, waxed 4 times a year (just done), always meticulously maintained with Mobile 1 Synthetics throughout (just done). The Jeep has just been fully serviced at the local Durango Colorado Jeep dealership and is ready for the new owner. The interior in very clean and tidy and still smells new inside. The motor compartment has always been kept highly detailed. The Jeep runs and drives better than new and has never been wrecked or damaged in any way and has a spotless Carfax. The Jeep retains all of its rich, deep black factory paint and has no rust or body work of any kind. This Jeep is as new as a 2006 Jeep gets and it's not going to be cheap but this IS the Unicorn you have been looking for so do not pass it up or you will regret it. The only flaws I can find on the Jeep is a slightly wrinkled "N" on the Rubicon emblem on the hood on the drivers side, a very small ding on top of hood, and a ding on the top edge of the tailgate near the top corner and some paints chips here and there, mostly on the top. Also I cannot figure out how to turn the lights on the front bumper on and the light switch on the inside rear of the hardtop is a little finicky. My family and I recently moved to Colorado and I searched a long time to find and purchase this Jeep for my Wife to drive on snowy days but she wanted a new 4 door Wrangler so that is what she has now and hence this Unicorn is for sale.
