1957 Morgan Plus Four -For Only : $19800 This fantastic Morgan Plus Four, chassis #3506, has had just one owner for most of its life. It was bought new by Mr. Bob MacArthur in 1957 and it was raced competitively by him for decades in SCCA events. When he retired from racing the car sat for many years. When it was pulled out of storage a few years back, a no expense spared, body off, nut and bolt restoration was undertaken. The goal was to make it cosmetically flawless and mechanically the best road going Morgan on the planet. The majority of that restoration was performed by the highly regarded master craftsman Don Breslaur. Every mechanical component was rebuilt to new. The engine, a Triumph four cylinder, was built to high performance spec. Twin Weber carbs were fitted; stainless steel exhaust; oil cooler… all modifications done with an eye toward great performance and rock solid reliability. While there is racing in its DNA… this Morgan is a road car now, and drives like a dream. The car is finished in British racing green, which according to period photos when MacArthur owned it, is the original color. The interior is done in green Connolly leather and green Wilton wool carpets. Also added is a roll bar, Brooklands windscreens, 72 spoke Dayton wire wheels, full belly pans, leather hood strap and racing style seat belts. Only the finest materials have been used in the restoration of this great car.
