1991 Toyota Land Cruiser. 271,000 miles. I am 2nd owner. I purchased the truck in late Spring 2016. A major change in my life is forcing the sale. I bought the truck with the intention of modifying it for the purpose of light wheeling and camping. I never got around to it. I am listing it here for auction with no reserve. The truck is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction at any time. I will do my best to describe the truck in detail. Keep in mind this is a 25 year old vehicle that will have it's dings and scratches, etc... Truck runs and drives fine. Power-train is strong. I wouldn't hesitate to drive it anywhere. When I purchased it I drove 6 hours home without issue. The truck does need some work. Exhaust - The Cruiser has an exhaust leak because of a cracked rear manifold. A replacement manifold is $75 on cruiserparts.net Paint - Paint appears to be original with no body work noticeable. No fading on hood. There are 2 areas of rust. One spot just in front of the drivers side rear tire, and another at the bottom of the rear passenger door. Both spots could be fixed easily. There are a couple nickel sized spots on the rear hatch as well. Otherwise the Cruiser is free of rust. The frame has the typical surface oxidation that should be expected of a 25 year old vehicle. There is no major rot. See pics of the 2 rust areas. Interior - Interior is in good shape. 2 small tears on drivers seat, otherwise in good shape. The previous owner cut out the carpet in the cargo area and replaced it with a piece of shag carpet. He told me he spilled something back there and had to cut it out.... See pics of drivers seat. Motor - Runs great, but could probably use a routine tune up. New battery. Motor fires right up every time. There is an oil leak. I believe it to be caused by a leaky oil pan. In particular, leaking from the rear upper valley of the pan. Per my research, this is a common problem with this motor at least on higher mileage vehicles. 4x4 works fine. Has Center Diff Lock. Glass - All the glass is in good shape with the exception of a small crack in the windshield. Drivers window goes up and down with speed, albeit a little rough at times. The other 3 windows will need cleaned, lubed, etc... as they are very slow in operation. Currently the rear passenger window is stuck in the down position. All motors are getting power and working, but I think they need adjusted or something. I think I have addressed all the mechanical issues. This is a cool truck and I really don't want to sell it. Somebody will be getting a nice Land Cruiser for much less than the later year 80 series sell for. It does need some work, but again the Cruiser is 25 years old. Located in Canton, IL.
