AT THAT TIME THE OWNER WANTED A TRULY UNIQUE FORD. WITH THAT IN MIND HE CONTACTED A FRIEND, WHO DESIGNED CUSTOM CARS IN CALIFORNIA. THE IDEA WAS TO CREATE A CAR THAT COULD HAVE BEEN SEEN ON A DRAWING BOARD IN A FORD DESIGN STUDIO. IN MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION THEY ABSOLUTELY NAILED IT ! PLEASE REVIEW THE PICTURES THEN YOU DECIDE. THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN A CUSTOM DESIGNED AUTOMOBILE HEN THE CAR WAS COMPLETED IT WAS NO LONGER STREET DRIVEN. IT WAS TRANSPORTED FROM SHOW TO SHOW THEN BACK IN THE GARAGE. THIS CONTINUED UNTIL 2004 WHEN IT WAS PARKED PERMANENTLY. WE BECAME THE NEW OWNER IN 2014. AT THAT TIME WE DID THE FOLLOWING, WE HAD A NEW GAS TANK INSTALLED , HAD THE BRAKE LINES AND WHEEL CYLINDERS REPLACED. THE TRANSMISSION WAS SERVICED, THE ENGINE WAS TUNED UP, INCLUDING POINTS PLUGS ETC. THE OIL AND FILTER WERE ALSO CHANGED. THE 302 V 8 RUNS WITHOUT ISSUE. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS SMOOTHLY AND CORRECTLY. THE BRAKES STOP STRAIGHT AND TRUE. IN ADDITION THE ENTIRE CAR WAS METHODICALLY SORTED OUT TOUCHED UP THEN CLEANED AND DETAILED. AT THAT POINT IT WAS RE-WAXED AND BUFFED TO PERFECTION ! IN ADDITION IN ORDER FOR US TO SAY NO RUST, WE HAD THE SEATS AND CARPETS REMOVED. WE FOUND THE FLOORS TO BE ORIGINAL WITH NO SIGNS OF ANY RUST DAMAGE. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS RESTORATION IS AT LEAST 12 YEARS OLD. IT STILL LOOKS AMAZING, HOWEVER BE PREPARED, YOU MAY OR MAY NOT SEE A SCRATCH OR TOUCH UP IN THE PAINT. ALSO THE CUSTOM INTERIOR HAS SOME MINOR FLAWS. THE CONVERTIBLE TOP NEEDS REPLACEMENT. IN ADDITION WE NOTICED THAT THE RADIO AND THE WIPERS ARE NOT FUNCTIONAL. AFTER THE MECHANICAL SERVICE WAS COMPLETED THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR WAS CLEANED AND REPAINTED. 71,000 ORIGINAL MILES IN 1986 THIS LOW MILEAGE CAR WAS GARAGED AND DID NOT SEE DAYLIGHT AGAIN UNTIL 1996. AT THAT TIME THE OWNER WANTED A TRULY UNIQUE FORD. WITH THAT IN MIND HE CONTACTED A FRIEND, WHO DESIGNED CUSTOM CARS IN CALIFORNIA. THE IDEA WAS TO CREATE A CAR THAT COULD HAVE BEEN SEEN ON A DRAWING BOARD IN A FORD DESIGN STUDIO. IN MY PROFESSIONAL OPINION THEY ABSOLUTELY NAILED IT ! PLEASE REVIEW THE PICTURES THEN YOU DECIDE. THIS IS YOUR CHANCE TO OWN A CUSTOM DESIGNED AUTOMOBILE WHEN THE CAR WAS COMPLETED IT WAS NO LONGER STREET DRIVEN. IT WAS TRAILERED FROM SHOW TO SHOW THEN BACK IN THE GARAGE. THIS CONTINUED UNTIL 2004 WHEN IT WAS PARKED PERMANENTLY. WE BECAME THE NEW OWNER IN 2014. AT THAT TIME WE DID THE FOLLOWING, INSTALLED A NEW GAS TANK, HAD THE BRAKE LINES AND WHEEL CYLINDERS REPLACED. THE TRANSMISSION WAS SERVICED, ENGINE TUNED UP INCLUDING OIL AND FILTER AS WELL AS NEW PLUGS ETC. THE 302 RUNS QUIETLY. THE TRANSMISSION SHIFTS CORRECTLY AND THE BRAKES STOP STRAIGHT AND TRUE. IN ADDITION THE ENTIRE CAR WAS METHODICALLY CLEANED AND DETAILED, WAXED AND BUFFED TO PERFECTION ! IN ADDITION IN ORDER FOR US TO SAY NO RUST, WE HAD THE SEATS AND CARPETS REMOVED. WE FOUND THE FLOORS TO BE ORIGINAL WITH NO SIGNS OF ANY RUST DAMAGE. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THIS RESTORATION IS AT LEAST 12 YEARS OLD. IT STILL LOOKS AMAZING, HOWEVER BE PREPARED YOU MAY OR MAY NOT SEE A SCRATCH OR TOUCH UP IN THE PAINT. ALSO THE CUSTOM INTERIOR HAS SOME MINOR FLAWS. THE CONVERTIBLE TOP NEEDS REPLACEMENT. IN ADDITION WE NOTICED THAT THE RADIO AND THE WIPERS ARE NOT FUNCTIONAL.AFTER THE MECHANICAL SERVICE WAS COMPLETED THE BOTTOM OF THE CAR WAS CLEANED AND REPAINTED.
