Vehicle Detail
You don't see these everyday! This is a 1964 Chrysler Newport Station Wagon, black with two tone black and pearl white interior, for RESTORATION. It has factory air conditioning, push button automatic transmission, pillarless windows, tinted glass, power tailgate window, and a 361 big block. The ultimate grocery getter! I don't need to tell you these are as rare as hen's teeth! This car has not been on the road since 1976 and is in dire need of a restoration. The engine is currently locked up. The front floors are rusted out and the third seat footwell is gone. It also has a broken right rear spring. All the parts are there with the exception of the coil, radiator cap, the positive battery cable end and whatever the badge on the tailgate was. I do have the hubcaps. Here are some details on the car: Glass - tinted- no cracks or chips, no significant scratches (if any). Front windshield is beautiful - no wiper scratches. All glass is perfectly reuseable. All body, roof and window moulding trim is intact and has only a few very minor dings to be removed. Rear bumper pieces - no holes, one very minor ding - perfect candidate for an easy rechrome. Rear Tailgate Chrome - pitted, no holes, perfect for easy rechrome. Front Bumper Chrome - a few minor dings - perfect for rechrome. Front grille has an issue with one of it's upper top "caps", otherwise it is dent free and straight. Headlight doors have no dings. Dash - has three cracks, one big, two small. The dash chrome has light pitting. A few of the headliner bows are slightly bent, but nothing a pro couldn't straighten. Most of the board has been removed. All the doors, hood and tailgate open and close easily. The manual windows go up and down easily. The power tailgate window goes up and down but the switch is cranky. There is an issue with the driver's door. It lines up everywhere but the upper front edge. Nothing appears to be bent. The door opens and closes fine. It's probably just an adjustment issue. RUST: The lower front floors are badly rusted out. The upper front floor where the front seat attaches is not rusted. The third seat floor is gone. The right rear quarter is rusted out in front of the rear bumper, and there is rust in front of the right rear tire. In the front right behind the wheel there is some rust. DENTS : There is a large dent in the left rear in front of the rear bumper, and a small dent from the inside on the rear hatch, other than that the body appears really straight. I don't see any dings or ripples but it's hard to really tell with the condition the paint is in. All in all, a very rare car that deserves to be restored. Unfortunately, I have other projects ahead of it and would probably never get to it. There is NO TITLE. Ebay does not give you this option. I will give you a Bill of Sale. I did have keys made for it. Also included is the original owner's manual and the operating instruction manual, both of which are in very nice shape. There is a build sheet, but it's a little ratty. The car will need to be trailered.
