You see a few of these for sale now and again, but they usually have pretty high pricetags. This one is in very nice condition, with 158k miles on it. It just passed inspection, starts and drives beautifully, and has out-of-this world performanceespecially for an executive-style luxury sedan. The hand-built, 5.5 liter v-8 and the many features and systems work asthey should, including the awesome active body control system. It has a few blemishes here and there as would be expectedwith any car its age, but the overall look is very sharp. We get a lotof comments on the car, and most people think it is quite a bit newer than it is. The list price of this car was over $100,000 which, via inflation, would be a price tag of about $136,000today. If you're not familiar with this model you can read the accolades and specifications on many different websites. Someone will get an awful lot of car for the money.. The car is not rusty, above or below. We kept it at our other home down south, and this willbe its first winter in Vermont. 2. The car is not perfect. It has blemishes and flaws consistent with its age. I look at it and think - wow, that's a nice car. If youhave a more critical eye which is looking for perfection, you might instead see the ding on the driver's door, perhaps 1/4 - 1/2 the volumeof a pea, and a scratch in the clearcoat on the front left, maybe an inch or two long which the camera can't pick up. There are likely others thatI do not even know about. I listed the more significant ones - the passenger seat, and to a lesser degree the driver's seat have scratches in the leather onthe flat part of the seat. The clearcoat in the trunk lid has a blemish which I caught in a photo. The sunroof switch moves within its socket a bit, thoughit works fine. The dash GUI occasionally complains about a turn signal bulb being burned out when it is not, the cup holder does not work. So, 'is it 100% perfect?' - the answer is no, it is not. I think the photos capture the overall look pretty well.I would have been very happy to get it in this shape for a few thousand. To me they are very small and minor things, but we're not all the same, so if you have a very critical eye,I'd suggest either stopping by to see it first or passing. (You can get close to perfect if you show up at Mercedes with ~$150,000) 3. The mileage was accurate when posted, and it currently has another couple hundred on it. We drive it every day, and so the mileage will continue to increase until it is sold. 4. We get about 22mpg when we drive long distance (all interstate). Mileage around town is less, depending on how onedrives it. If you are looking for fuel efficiency, this is not the car for you. 5. We put new tires on the front about 2 months ago. The rear tires are probably around 50%-60%. 6. The inspection is good through August 2017. 7. It is a real joy to drive, and very fast, but no, we don't know quarter mile times, or the top speed, or have dyno analysis. We don'tdrive it like that. 8. This car is also listed for sale locally.
