Pick By Hemmings News as a future collector car, this rare 2 year production V8 powered sedan is known as the "4 door Mustang." All performance items from the fox body Mustang can be added to this sedan. Back in the 80's then Ford president Don Peterson gave the approval to build a car to compete with the European sedans after a drive in a prototype at the Bob Bondurant driving school. Bondurant needed a bigger car then the 2 door Mustang to show students how to handle speed on a track. Included with the sale is copy of his driving book which has photos of the LX LTD. I also will include a deluxe copy of the Marti report which points out this vehicle is one of only 948! This car has all the nice options for daily use A/C, cruise, tilt, power locks, power seats but no power windows so no annoying window regulator or window motors. The previous owner did outfit the car with 373 gears in its limited slip rear end also subframe connectors. Oh and he also put dark limo tint, giving it a mean don't mess with me look. He did blackout the bumpers and wheels as well. Recently serviced including oil service, diff service and new rear wheel bearings. This car also has the larger extended range fuel tank making it a cruising dream. Whoever buys this car can jump in and fill it up and go anywhere. I have travel several times to Daytona speedway and use it daily for work without skipping a beat. Condition wise it is a typical 31 year old vehicle which means its used and not a show car a good body man can make this car perfect. My plan was to keep using until the prices went up then do a complete restoration. I no longer need it to get to work and have decided to let it go after much thought.
