I have for sale a 2003 Volkswagen GTI 20th Anniversary Edition that I purchased around 12 months ago with the intention of bringing back to perfect condition. Shortly after purchase I was promoted to a work position which doesn't allow me the time needed to finish this great car. The Good:94XXX miles as far as I recall.Jazz Blue 1 of 500 produced.Recaro Interior is near flawless.Boser Hood Mod (needs attention but hard part is complete)Stock aside from cold air intake.Has boost gauge already installed on steering wheel column.Comes with timing belt kit from ECS Tuning.Comes with brand new front mount intercooler. Motor runs great. The Bad:R-Title (Rebuilt) Previous owner said it was a minor accident but the cost of parts and new wheel being needed exceeded car value.Car needs shift box alignment or shift forks. 02J transmission stuck in third gear. Gear lever moves freely but stays in third. Google it, pretty common issue.Been sitting now for around 10 months. Drivers side front quarter panel tone is a little off from the rest of the car.Small rust areas near wheels (same place as every MKIV)One wheel is dented but still holds air fine.Front bumper off in pictures from trailering the car home. On 12/03/2004 odometer shows 20,424, on 11/06/2006 the odometer shows 377,640.Thats a 357,216 mile difference.That would mean after it was crashed and fixed it was driven 357,216 miles.There is no way someone drove this car 357,216 miles without a title or car inspection. You can't register a vehicle in NYS without those documents.Thats over 14k miles a month. The average US citizen drives 10k per year. All in all just needs someone who has the time to address these issues. Please feel free to contact me for additional details cause I don't have to many pictures. Could be an awesome project or part it out and easily make some money. Motor and Recaro seats could easy sell for $1000 and even a broken 02J sells for crazy high prices.
