The word "extreme" is defined as "not reasonable", and going far beyond what's reasonable, is exactly what has been done to this 2000 Chevrolet Tahoe which was purchased and shipped to Arizona Speed and Marine, where he instructed them to completely disassemble the Tahoe and build him anextreme, lean, machine. This is not some backyard shade tree mechanic modified vehicle, but a custom built and engineered, tire melting SUV, complete with 3RD Row Seating so you can haul the entire family!The team at ASM removed the 5.7 ltr and ordered up a HP 502 from GM Performance. They then, of course, decided that the 502 alone was not enough...so of course, they added a super charger. But not just any ordinary super charger, but a Wipple super charger with air to water inter-cooling and tuned port tunnel ram injection. The engineering would take years, and would be assisted by the team at GM. The team at GM used this very Tahoe to design the new computer control system for there now legendary Big Block conversions.When completed, the Tahoe would produce @700+ HP and handle like a Corvette. The Tahoe has all the standard features that you would expect from a luxury vehicle such as power steering, AM/FM stereo, power seats, simulated graphite wheel, and inserts in the dash. The Tahoe also has plenty of braking power with 13 inch vented and slotted rotors, and a Hydro-boost master brake cylinder.All of this is sitting on a set of one-off 20 inch Budnik wheels. To make it even more extreme there are a few additional up-grades, like the custom built Currie 12 bolt rear-end, L480 Trans, hand built 3 inch exhaust, and extensive body modifications.The crowning touch on this Tahoe was adding a new three stage black paint giving this truck a mirror finish like no tomorrow.
