Vehicle Detail
This is a 1974 MGB in the sought after Damask Red (Burgundy). This car has the original Bill of Sale. The car has been well maintained throughout its life. It started its journey at an MG dealership in Orlando, FL and then moved on to Sebring, FL and then spent about 15 years in the Chicago area and now has found its way back home to Florida. This car has always been garaged and it shows. The car was painted in its original color several years ago (not sure how long ago) and has a brilliant shine as one can see from the photos Cruise control has been added making those long distance drives much more comfortable. An after market front air dam has been placed along with a replicated British front license plate so people know exactly what is coming down the road. It has an upgraded audio system with CD. New boot carpeting has recently been installed. A stainless steel Trophy Exhaust makes for a sweet sound. The convertible hood was replaced about 12+ years ago and has a zip out rear window. [The hood was installed by John Twist, MG Guru, out of Grand Rapids, MI]. The car comes with a full tonneau (original) and a half tonneau and also the original jack and bag. The tonneau bars were just recently powder coated and look brand new. A new electronic ignition recently was placed along with a new flasher unit and new rack and pinion boots. When the hood was installed, John Twist suggested that the stem on the steering column, also used for the electronic overdrive if installed, be wired to be a security detriment. When the stem is pushed forward the car will not start. This is undetectable to some "friend" wishing to take it for a joy ride. The original owner's manual is included and is signed by Don Hayter, the original designer of the MGB back in Abington, England (https://youtu.be/rq7d7G1zQws) This car turns heads every time, by not only its looks, but that Trophy Exhaust sound too. The driving season is here. Don't lose out on the opportunity to own one of the last true chrome bumper MG's.
