2004 Dodge Intrepid (Ex-Police Car) This Intrepid was a Florida Detective’s unmarked car with the police pursuit package that included: Heavy Duty Suspension 3.5L High Output V-6 Heavy Duty Transmission Front Brake ducts (to direct air to the front brakes) Transmission and Power Steering coolers 150 MPH calibrated speedometer Still has the white strobe lights in the headlights and tail lights that work, but are disconnected for legal reasons. I bought the car in May, 3013 with 38,947 original miles. It now has about 78,500 miles, but will go up slightly until sold, as I am still driving it daily. The reason I am selling it is that I have just gone through an expensive divorce and have had to buy an older house that needs repairs/updates. I’m tired of borrowing or renting trucks for my many trips to Lowe’s, Home depot, etc., so I need the money for a truck. I have meticulously maintained this vehicle and done some upgrades to it, such as changing all 4 brake rotors to heavy duty, slotted rotors with top grade ceramic pads, replaced inner tie rod bushings with Moog urethane bushings, Summit Racing high performance front struts, etc. I have used Mobil 1 Synthetic Oil approximately every 6,500 to 7,000 miles and just changed plugs and ignition coil wires at 75,000. I also changed the radio from just cassette to cassette/CD and added factory door tweeters from another Intrepid EX so that it now has 6 speakers. Here are other parts that have been replaced/upgraded, most within the past 6 to 8 months. I added the date beside it if I know the date: Cam Position Sensor 8-13 4 Goodyear 225/65/R16 Assurance Triple Tread tires 5-14 (they have been rotated and still look brand new with probably around 80% to 85% tread remaining). New radiator, thermostat, upper and lower radiator hoses, serpentine belt and idler pulley/tensioner all done 11-15 (radiator had a very small split on side). Heavy duty transmission was rebuilt 3-16 (at a cost of $1900) and is under remainder of 12 month/12K warranty (although I don’t think it’s transferrable). Apparently when the radiator was replaced, the rubber to steel transmission line was not tightened properly and worked itself loose while driving on the interstate. By the time I could get pulled over to the side, the forward clutch packs/bands burnt up leading to the rebuild. Summit Racing Struts replaced 5-16. Also the lower control arm bushings, sway bar bushings, sway bar end links, Moog inner tie rod ends and lower ball joints and right (passenger) CV half shaft (boot had a crack in it and had started to loose grease) were all replaced around this same time. Basically, everything in the front end is new. Valve cover gaskets and AC belt replaced 6-16 I hate to sell this car as it’s been a fun, well-maintained daily driver that handles well and still looks good for her age. No accidents and only has 2 very small door dings in the passenger quarter panel and driver’s door. However, it doesn’t really fit my needs now. As you see in the pictures, original owner’s manual (with Police supplemental handbook) and 2 keys/remotes are included. I’m not interested in any trades and believe my price reflects how well this car has been taken care of and its low mileage. Everything works on it (cold AC, power windows and locks, cruise control, etc.). Have clear title in hand and car will not be released until funds have cleared my account. I prefer a cashier’s check or postal money order for payment. Naturally if you are local or picking up in person, cash works. As you can see, my EBay rating is 100% and I take pride in that.
