My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction. Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2006 Volkswagen Passat 2.0T with the desirable 6 speed manual transmission. I would rate the exterior of this Passat to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in light blue over black, which is a good color combination. The finish has a deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. There are a few cloud-like imperfections in the LR of the car, but the light blue color does a good job at hiding them from the casual observer. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully. I would rate the interior of this Passat to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age. The worst I can point out is a torn spot in the passenger's footwell, which would easily be hidden by a floor mat. The dash and headliner show well. As is common, the plastic facia pieces to the storage trays are missing. The power windows, locks, seats and mirrors all work properly. The audio system has been upgraded with an aftermarket CD player. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The trunk is spacious and clean. Again, please check out each of the photos carefully. Mechanically, this Passat appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.0L turbocharged engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine doesn't smoke. Her road manners are good. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine makes good power and keeps proper temperature at all times. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The most noteworthy attribute of this Passat is the 6 speed manual transmission. It's common knowledge that the DSG automatic transmissions that came in these cars are not good. It's not a matter of if they fail...but when...and they're not cheap to replace. The 6spd manual transmission means that you'll never have to be faced with dropping thousands of dollars to replace a failed DSG transmission. The clutch engages smoothly and doesn't slip or chatter. Gear changes through the six speed manual transmission are clean and precise, as they should be. If you're looking for a Passat that hasn't been all used up and you don't want to play Russian roulette with a DSG transmission, this car deserves your serious consideration. Hello and thank you for looking at my auction. My name is Joe and I sell vehicles differently than most dealers. Buying your next car or truck through one of my NO RESERVE auctions is the best way to take the games out of your next automotive purchase. I personally road test each vehicle before it is offered for sale so I can give you my first hand opinion of how it runs and drives. Please keep in mind that I am not a mechanic. Each vehicle is represented accurately and honestly to the best of my knowledge and ability. Please take the time to read this entire description as well as our Terms & Conditions carefully BEFORE asking questions or placing a bid as most answers can be found in at least one of those places. An administrative fee of $149 will be added to the final bid of each auction.
Up for a NO RESERVE auction is a 2006 Volkswagen Passat 2.0T with the desirable 6 speed manual transmission. I would rate the exterior of this Passat to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. As you can see, this is a good looking sedan. It is finished in light blue over black, which is a good color combination. The finish has a deep shine and looks as smooth as glass. There are a few cloud-like imperfections in the LR of the car, but the light blue color does a good job at hiding them from the casual observer. The body lines are nice and straight. The hood, doors and trunk all open and close easily. All of the glass and lenses are intact. The factory alloy wheels show well for their age and are wrapped in a nice set of rubber with average tread all around. Please take your time and check out each of the photos carefully.
I would rate the interior of this Passat to be in AVERAGE CONDITION for its age and mileage. The door cards are clean and tight. The carpets show well for their age. The worst I can point out is a torn spot in the passenger's footwell, which would easily be hidden by a floor mat. The dash and headliner show well. As is common, the plastic facia pieces to the storage trays are missing. The power windows, locks, seats and mirrors all work properly. The audio system has been upgraded with an aftermarket CD player. The climate control system also appears to be working properly. The heater works well and the air conditioner blows ICE COLD AIR, too. The trunk is spacious and clean. Again, please check out each of the photos carefully.
Mechanically, this Passat appears to be in good running and driving condition. The 2.0L turbocharged engine starts easily and runs smoothly. I didn't notice any leaks and the engine doesn't smoke. Her road manners are good. The suspension feels tight and well sorted. Steering and braking feel good, too. The engine makes good power and keeps proper temperature at all times. There have been no idiot lights on during my road test. The most noteworthy attribute of this Passat is the 6 speed manual transmission. It's common knowledge that the DSG automatic transmissions that came in these cars are not good. It's not a matter of if they fail...but when...and they're not cheap to replace. The 6spd manual transmission means that you'll never have to be faced with dropping thousands of dollars to replace a failed DSG transmission. The clutch engages smoothly and doesn't slip or chatter. Gear changes through the six speed manual transmission are clean and precise, as they should be. If you're looking for a Passat that hasn't been all used up and you don't want to play Russian roulette with a DSG transmission, this car deserves your serious consideration. Winning Bidders:
Winning bidders are required to contact us via eBay Message within 48 hours of auction close and make arrangements for payment and vehicle pick-up. Please do not leave a voicemail on the office phone.
Full payment is due within 7 day of the auction's end. The prefferred method is to bring cash in person to complete the sale. If you are unable to bring cash in person within seven days or will be having the vehicle shipped, we also accept Certified Checks, USPS Postal Money Orders, and wire transfer.
PayPal is not an accepted payment method. This includes Bill Me Later.
We cannot accept credit cards or personal checks.
Vehicles that are not picked up within 14 days of auction's end will be charged a $10/day storage fee, unless other arrangments are made.
Non-paying Bidders:
We take great pride in our work and are very serious about what we do. Likewise, we expect the people who bid on our auctions to be serious about honoring their bid. If you are the successful bidder for any of our auctions and do not pay for your vehicle within the specified time, an Unpiad Item case willbe opend with eBay. This can severely restirct yur ability to purchse from all eBay sellers. You will be charged a $249 re-listing fee. All unpaid fees will be handed over to a collection agency and pursued to the fullest extent of the law.
Fee and Tax Information: The only fee added by the seller is our $149 fee. This is used to isolate our fixed expenses such as eBay fees, transportation, processing, etc., and is not applied to any costs incurred by the purchaser.
The purchaser is responsible for any and all costs associated with transfer of ownership including, but not limited to: registration, sales tax, tags (including temp or in-transit tags), title transfer, inspection, and transportation expenses.
We are a PennDOT issuing agent and able to complete most tag, registration, and title work, as well as collect sales tax, for Pennsylvania residents.
For out-of-state buyers, PennDOT offers a 30-day temporary tag (aka In-Transit tag). The cost is $49 and the buyer must show a valid driver's license and current proof of insurance. We can issue them at our office.
