Vehicle Detail

So you and your buddies are sitting around shootin the sh!t and someone brings up the question ... "which '55 Chevy was cooler, the car from American Graffiti or the one from 2 Lane Blacktop?" Well while they ponder that question you could open your garage door and show them what is actually the coolest '55 Chevy they have ever seen. What we have here is a true survivor. This car was originally modified in the mid-70's as evident by the sweet interior. We are talking a disco era ride. The original power-plant was tossed in favor of 1965 327 with a 4-speed. Topped off with an aluminum intake, Holley carb and headers this Belair was made to motate. After years of local cruise night and street brawling duties she was parked in 1985 under an old blue tarp... you know to keep the cats off of her. Well fast forward 31 years and this is what we have now. After half the paint came off when the blue tarp was pulled back it was decided that it would be best to hit the body with a DA and then coat her in fresh black primer. Since the old wire basket wheels and thin white walls were shot from sitting a new set of Wheel Vintiques Comet series wheels and Cooper Cobra radials were in order. Giving here that sweet rake and old hot rod look. In getting her cleaned up and ready for many more years of cruising the following parts were replaced :*Fuel pump*Master Cylinder*Cap/Rotor/Points/Plugs/Wires*Hoses*Battery*Front & rear bumpers & guards*Front & rear emblems & hood bird*Grill & grill surround trim*Belair side moldings*Headlight bezels*Parking light assemblies*Tailight assembliesAll shiny bits are from Danchuk or Ecklers Runs and drives good. This car is a driver. The body looks good from a distance, what I would call a 20' car. It has had quarters replaced sometime in its life as well as the front fenders. This is a car you can drive and cruise today but it does have rust in the drivers front floor (no holes, but very soft) and body braces that should be done at some time. As you can see in the photos there is a small hole, about the size of 3 fingers that is rusted, but other than that the trunk floor is good. car is sold as is, where is with no warranty. Buyer is responsible for transport of vehicle non-refundable deposit due within 48 hrs of auction close
