Vehicle Detail
I am listing this 1981 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler as a favor. This Jeep has been owned by the same lady for the last 20 years. The odometer shows 62,613 miles, but is actually 162,613 miles. It had 90,000 on it when she bought it in 1996. The last time the Jeep was on the road was 2009. It was used on the farm until about a year ago when the brakes went out and she parked it in a barn shed. It sat there until about 2 months ago when she decided to sell it due to health. I did replace several parts to get the Jeep running and driving. It has a new battery, brake master cylinder, valve cover gasket and oil filter. All the fluids were checked and topped off if needed. Recent parts include alternator, starter, solenoid, top radiator hose and a set of 235/75/15 Goodyear Wrangler tires. This is a running, driving Jeep as is. It has manual disc brakes, power steering, tilt steering and the gauge package with the tachometer and clock. This could be the Laredo package, I'm not sure. The Jeep does have some rust, as any unrestored Jeep this model would and it is priced accordingly. I have taken pics and described it as best as I can. Please look at all the pics. Body rust spots in both rocker panels, 3 patch panels in the bed, front passengers side fender rusted, but I have a good one that is included with the Jeep. The frame has some rust also, with the worst being on the inside of the passengers side rusted thru. The outside of the passengers side looks good with no rust thru. The drivers side rear is rusted thru. ( see pics ). This Jeep could be driven as is, but would make a good restoration project as it has not been tampered with. All the vacuum lines, canister and factory suspension are all there and in tact. Please look at all the pics along with my feedback on ebay and bid with confidence. Bidders with less than 10 feedback score will have to contact me before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. I have shippers I work with on a regular basis and can furnish the winning bidder with shipping quotes if needed. The Jeep is in driving condition, but I would reccomend hauling it as I have only driven it about 10 miles around here to make sure the repairs had the Jeep in working order. I have more pics of the Jeep if interested just send me your email or cell number and I will send you all I have. Feel free to ask any questions. I check email daily. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding.
