ebay_listing Summer is here...time to get up on two wheels and here is your chance. LOW MILEAGE 1984 BMW R80 RT INCLUDING FAIRING, LOWERS, SADDLE BAGS, TOURING TANK, AND TWIN SEAT. This is a solid bike. The motor sounds good and runs strong, transmission shifts smoothly, and the final drive is flawless. 800cc BMW Boxer with touring package, (lowers included but not installed) including touring high-capacity fuel tank and low miles. I am selling this for a good friend of mine who rode this bike for many Ohio summers and kept it garaged (unheated) for the Ohio winters. The Good: Super low miles. Intact and complete - Including the factory toolkit. Professionally maintained. Mechanically solid. Surface rust only - all steel (including exhaust pipes) - very solid. Fairing, lowers, side covers, gas tank, seat - all in good condition. The Not-So-Good: Front tire needs replaced - see pictures. High beam indicator light on light tree is out. Front end has a wobble at 45 mph when letting off the throttle. This may be cured by a new tire. The engine idles too low for my liking. Paint is not flawless - see pictures. The final word: I have owned 3 BMW's and over a dozen motorcycles in total. This one is all that a BMW (or any motorcycle) can be - responsive, powerful, solid, mechanically superb, and smooth as glass at 75 mph. A joy to ride and definitely - A motorcycle worth the obsession! Auction details and fine print: Bidding starts at $1200.00 and there is no reserve. If the winning bid is over $2,000.00, I will refund $75.00 to buyer for the purchase of a new front tire. If the winning bid is over $2,500.00, I will refund another $75.00 to the buyer for the front end wobble. This means that if the winning bid is greater than $2500.00, I will refund $150.00 to the winning bidder. The motorcycle is located in Norwalk, Ohio and must be retrieved from there. Shipping and/or pickup is the winning bidder's responsibility. A $500.00 deposit - through PayPal - is required within 24 hours of auction close and the balance is due within 7 days of the end of the auction. I have done my best to take pictures and describe the condition of the motorcycle. Please look closely at the listing and ask questions BEFORE bidding as there are NO refunds. Final Payment Terms: Final payment due within 7 days of the end of the auction. Cash accepted for the balance. Cashier's check will also be accepted for balance, but be advised that a cashier's check still requires several days to clear and - THE BIKE WILL NOT BE RELEASED UNTIL ALL FUNDS HAVE CLEARED MY BANK.
