This is probably one of the nicest 2002tii's surviving. This car was completely restored in the early eighties by a professional BMW technician and stored in a climate-controlled warehouse until the previous owner relocated to South Africa.I bought it in 2005 and since then I've driven it only occasionally. The odometer showed 85000 miles when I purchased it and was replaced with a new zero miles speedometer when the odometer stopped, so the car has around 88000 miles on it (to my knowledge).Brakes, shocks, radiator, fuel tank and pump, tires, battery, alternator and interior have been replaced since I've owned it. The seats were replaced with BMW Recaros and recovered with genuine BMW vinyl ordered from Germany. Door panels are new genuine BMW parts. Everything on the car works exactly as it should - even the clock and original radio.There is NO rust anywhere!You might look for years and not find a classic like this in this amazing condition.Car is located in South Georgia, and could comfortably be driven anywhere. On Jun-04-16 at 20:15:01 PDT, seller added the following information: When restored in 1982, the engine and transmission were disassembled, inspected, "blueprinted",and renewed to new condition. All parts used were genuine BMW (as were all parts replaced by me since I've owned the car). I replaced the muffler, brakes (calipers, rotors, drums, wheel cylinders, master cylinder and drums), fuel tank, fuel pump,radiator, heater core,speedometer, door panels, seats, battery, alternator, weatherstrips, steering wheel (authentic Turbo wheel).
