Vehicle Detail
This is fine example of the most sought after CT70 out there. It is an all original 1970 Honda CT70 HKO Honda Mini Trail. It is a 4 speed with a clutch and is in great, un-touched, original condition. Everything on this bike is original, even the license plate, off road license and Honda tool kit. I did install a new plug fresh oil when I brought it home. This bike was bought from an old farmer in the mountains outside of Sacramento, California. It was used to ride around his pastures and check on his herd of cows. All of the Candy Topaz Orange paint is original. Engine starts up on the first or second kick, and runs great. The bike shifts through all 4 gears smoothly, and rides straight. The whole electrical system is intact and works properly. Brakes are functional. The handlebars fold down for easy transport. Paint and chrome are in good condition for the bike's age. There are some minor flaws as shown in pictures but keep in mind, this is an unmolested, original bike that is 45+ years old and has never been rebuilt or modified. Bike will be sold with a California Bill of Sale. The only thing that I can tell that is wrong with this bike is the left handle bar does not tighten all the way down. It has some slight movement to it in the up position. I did not want to put a new handle bar on it and ruin the fact that it is completely original. It can be ridden without any issues, I just wanted to let you know. Bike is offered for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells. I can provide you with a phone number of a professional motorcycle transport company that I have used in the past if needed. Shipping will be at your expense. ***See my other auction if you are interested in other motorcycles. I am moving and have to downsize so the herd has to be thinned out a little.*** Thank you for viewing my auction and good luck if you decide to bid! On Jun-07-16 at 08:23:21 PDT, seller added the following information: Another member sent me a message this morning and thought I would add it to the description. I am not sure if the info is all correct below or not but thought I would add it into the description. He stated the following, You claim the bike is completely original look again front tube has been changed, rear tube mounted on wrong side of rim, front brake cable has been replaced, screw on chain guard not Honda just to point out a few things. No hard feelings I have restored several ct70s. Hope you accept my input. With this being said, take it for what it is worth I guess :) On Jun-10-16 at 10:52:47 PDT, seller added the following information: Hi Ebay'ers, I received a message this morning and it stated that the seat on this bike is off of a 1974 CT70. I do have a 1970 CT70, so if you are the winning bidder and want the seat off of the 1970 I will gladly make the change for you. I guess the person that I bought it from was not as honest as I thought they were. Sorry for the misunderstanding, I just figured with it being an H model that they put a different seat on it to differentiate this from the regular models.
