As the title says this is a 2000 vw new beetle with a 1.9L turbo charged diesel engine. The transmission is a 5 speed straight with plenty of pep. Interior is in great shape no cuts or tears on the seats. The engine runs good and has a new battery, fuel filter, and air filter. This little jewel will get you between 45-50mpg without any batteries!Has set in garage since 2007 and is a one owner. Has a 5 cd changer and a good sound system. Rear seats fold down for cargo and is very roomy up front It was a project of mine but I lost interest and now have a mustang to work on and need the room. In 2007 on a wet road at about 30mph swung around and backed into a telephone pole. The insurance company totaled it and I bought it back from them. The rear bumper was pushed in the hatch was caved in and the rear I beam was bent. When it went up on the curb it put a dent under the drivers door and scared the lower front bumper. The drivers seat was and still is bent but I can drive it with no problems. After the wreck the air conditioner fluid leaked out when I turned it on one day and the passenger side window cable is broken. The bottom of the trunk area has some holes in it after straightening it and needs a piece of sheet metal welded over it. I thought I would bring it back to life so I bought, painted and installed a new bumper and hatch. I had the I beam straightened at a local welding shop and welded back together then pulled the back end out and dropped it in place. The drivers side rear fender has a crack that should be filled and painted. Cant quite get the rear hatch to fit right it shuts and latches but electronic lock wont work. I have tried to tell you all about the car and will answer any questions you have. It could be made road worthy again but I found out I am no body man so a little expertise in this area and you are back on the road. Or of course you could use it for parts since the engine alone sells for over 1500.00.
