You're bidding on a 2003 Dodge Grand Caravan. She's an older van and has seen a lot of use over the years, but while she may not look the prettiest, she's still going strong and can serve you well for many years to come with only a little TLC. The van is good for all manor of tasks! Transport up to 7 people with all the seating, or take the seating out and you've got plenty of room for hauling most any cargo you need for the project your working on! Alright, good parts first! The structure of the van itself is sound! Despite the small rust patches it has, the frame of the van is still in good shape with no damage to it at all. The radiator is brand-spanking-new, having been put in just a few months ago. The windshield, alternator, thermostat, and serpentine belt, are all less then a year old, and the battery still has a good 3 years left in it. It has an after-market stereo that works well and has a cd-player and there are two power adapter plugs up front. The air-conditioning is in tip top shape and can freeze you out if you want, or bake you once winter-time rolls around again. The steering and the starter both work perfectly. EDIT: The van still gets 20 miles to the gallon on a balance of city and highway driving. And now for the lowdown on the problems with the van. The window on the drivers door has a clip on the glass broken, and can't roll down without risking the glass falling off the regulator. The regulator itself is fairly new though. The passenger side window rolls down, but is slow and halting. The regulator probably needs replaced, but it's never been used enough for me to do so. The passenger side rear break makes a clacking noise when it stops due to a damaged and broke loose ABS sensor moving around. This also has caused the ABS system to not function, and will cause the manual break light on the dash to light up even when the system isn't engaged. The airbag light on the dash lights up due to a faulty sensor in the bag itself, a rather expensive fix since the entire unit would need replaced. The airbag as been checked that it's still ready to go if needed. The check engine light is on due to a 'minor emissions error' problem that I've never been able to track down. The van also burns a bit of oil. Not enough to affect it if you change it pretty regulartly, but you may need to add a quart if you go longer then that. You may also want to keep an eye on the gas gauge as it seems like it's not reading right once it gets down below a quarter tank. I usually fill it up just after a half so I'm not sure if this is a problem, or a glitch. Other then that, everything else is cosmetic! The paint on the outside has some mismatched spots from rust repair and there is a small hole in the front bumper where something backed into it with a trailer hitch. The inside has faux-wood trim on the dash that the top layer has pealed off of it, the armrest has split and dirt embedded in the surface of it, and the floor has a few stains from where drinks spilled in times past.
