Vehicle Detail
Hello.... You are about to be bidding on my favorite earthly possession -- my 2008 BMW K1200LT with ~25,000 miles (I'm still riding, and reserve the right to cancel this auction as it's for sale locally). New front and rear tires (1500 miles). New front and rear brakes (1500 miles). I am the 2nd owner, and purchased ~2010. I ride this machine every day to work, and still routinely get compliments at traffic lights. She's a beauty with electric rider-adjustable windshield, heated handgrips, heated seats (separate controls for both you and your passenger), electric hydraulic center-stand, electronic cruise control, CD changer, stereo controls for both the rider and passenger etc... it even has the plug ready for your dash mounted GPS (GPS not included). I will also throw in 2 almost new Shoei full-face helmets (no helmet laws down here in FL), custom Cee-Bailey luggage -- made specifically for the BMW K1200LT's saddlebags and trunk, a cover, and a BMW trickle charger. This bike was always professionally maintained by BMW of Ft. Lauderdale, Redline Motorsports in Lake Park, FL, and Lyke New Mobile Detailing (for her bi-monthly washes and waxes). And now for the bad (not bad!)... there are a few small burn holes in the seat which I tried to photograph, a tiny piece of broken, chrome looking plastic, and a couple of teeny scratches in the chrome on the trunk. She also has a bunch of small scratches in the windshield which I'm sure can be buffed out with some sort of plastic polish. I never did it myself because I never really even notice them -- except maybe right after she gets a wash. The bike has been down twice (once by the previous owner in his garage, once by my father in the driveway) -- but both times the bike was stationary. The bottom side of the plastic "bumpers" on either side of the engine are scuffed from those incidents. For some reason, the paint on the front fender started peeling, so I had that repainted. Aside from that, she's 'tip-top' and ready to go. I'd be happy to take her to anywhere reasonably local to have her checked out by a mechanic of your choosing. These photos are not 'glamor shots'... I always kept the bike in a garage (both at home and covered parking at work), and looking just the way you see her in the pics. The only reason I am selling is because myself along with my wife, dog, and cat are moving aboard a 52' sailboat, and we are selling everything. Happy Bidding and let me know if you have any questions. -Craig
