Talk about a SUPER DUPER fun car.....this is the one! Low miles...Black....5 speed....turbo...satellite radio option...all the goodies that you need. Exterior is in great condition! Beautiful metallic black shines like a mirror! Yes there are a few blemishes on this 10 year old/young car, but I can count on one hand the amount of dings I see. ZERO dents. I'm no bodyman but I can't see any signs of major repairs or repaints. Minimal typical rockchips up front. No rust to be found save for about 2 teeny tiny paint bubbles on the right rear that I couldn't even show in a picture after 4 attempts. Doesn't mean there is rust under. Saabs were pretty good anti-rot cars. Front bumper cover is great even with the typical lower parking block rash. Rear bumper cover is stellar. Vinyl trim looks awesome. Headlight lenses are darn near clear as glass. You will love this car every time you leave the car wash and the driveway! Tires have excellent tread...at least 80% tread depth left. I'm not a huge fan of the Falken line as I feel they are Yokohama copies....which also means they mimic the Yokohamas...which means they have a bit of road noise. Not bad, but it's there. ALL ride on clean damage and vibration free rims. Unseen are the recently replaced brakes front and rear. No grinding. No pulsing. Suspension is tight with no pops or rattles. Car drives straight and smooth with no unusual wandering or pulling over any pavements. Look....at....this.....shine. Shiny enough for you??? Sigh.....the part that bums me out....the scratches on the passenger side....THAT I TOUCHED UP...with matching paint. I don't know what happened, but they are there. Not horrible. Not worth a repaint. Let's just call it the mom-mobile...."clumsy" kids...I don't know...but it's there....worse in the pics than in person. Isn't it crazy that the reflection of my finger pointing out the scratch looks BETTER than my actual finger?!? My puppy agrees!! Below you can see how nice the headlights are. No worries. Plenty of light! The last scratch was on the hood but wouldn't show very well. All stuff that you won't mind....because....NO RESERVE!! Remember the "records" part?? Piles and piles of receipts from the SAAB dealership.....all yours for the taking. Oil changes galore. Complaints fixed. Note the XM Radio remote, it runs a cool lil dealer installed XM Radio unit...also comes with one factory keyless key. Factory Issued window sticker. Books. Manuals. Everything. All yours. As you can see....ALL the dummy lights illuminate upon startup. Sadly there is a trifecta of lights...ALL related to most likely a wheel sensor. Traction Control, ABS and I forget the other, but the car does an initial scan upon startup and notifies you via the info panel on the top of dash. I went ahead and scored an ABS unit and swapped it out thinking it was the brain. It wasn't. Upon further internet searching, it's a common issue that is triggered by a bad wheel sensor. Considering the recent brake service, maybe a sensor was damaged. I don't have a scanner to pin it down...NO RESERVE remember?! Systematically replace each sensor with new....fix the problem. Done. Above...a shot of the info panel set on "DTE" aka Distance til Empty. Why did I snap this?? Saabs are notorious for having faulty fuel sending units. Not the end of the world, but it's annoying when it doesn't work. The DTE measurement proves that this car doesn't suffer from this problem as if the sender was bad, it would show dashes(meaning zero miles left like an empty tank) in this reading. I have added fuel multiple times and observed readings with regularity while logging at least 100miles on this car to ensure it's reliability. No worries. Onto the 8 out of 10 interior! Capet is great. Leather is great. Scrub the seats and it goes to a 9. No rips, cuts, tears or damages to be seen. Steering wheel and controls are super nice. Shifter knob and boot are about the only thing to point out. Driver's bolster is nice. Everything works from what I can tell: power windows, power locks, steering wheel controls, cruise, ICE COLD AIR CONDITIONING, Auto Lights, Hot Heat, AM/FM/CD player, Info panel, Satellite Radio, etc. I HATE smoke and can't see or smell any signs of a former smoker. Oh...and ALL the cupholders function...the sweet foldup one on the dash AND the rear passenger ejection type. Above, the license frames are ready to bolt on for your state requirements. Unseen is the complete spare setup, aired up for your drive home! Sorry, no factory floormats are included. Way above....the scratch on the hood that actually showed up after some digging. Below, you see the super clean engine compartment. Pick a spot and eat off it! Oil is clean. Coolant is spotless. Factory SAAB battery is strong and fires the perfectly running engine right up. These motors weren't known to be the quietest but this one is smooth and quiet. Fresh spark plugs spool the turbo effortlessly for strong pulling powerall the way to redline. Transmission shifts as it should thru every gear. If you didn't know, this engine was the predecessor to the Cobalt SS, HHR SS, Ion Redline, Solstice, and Sky. Cept the SAAB had the better transmission setup. Looking for a modded toy? This is the car at a fraction of the price. Clutch is great with zero chatter or slippage. No drivetrain noises. Underneath there are no signs of any major oil or coolant leaks. No spots on my garage floor after a week of storage. As stated the AC is freezing cold.
