1966 THUNDERBIRD CONVERTIBLE This is out of an estate from a collector who had some beautifully restored cars that were kept in his hanger. A very good survivor with much attention to details in its preservation restoration. The paint is done to a nice level with few flaws. The sides are laser straight with crisp body lines. The doors, hood and trunk fit very well. The glass is in very nice shape. The stainless is polished to a high luster. Nearly all the chrome was done to a high quality. The lenses are like new. The rubber moldings were replaced throughout the car. The interior appears to be original and in beautiful condition. The carpets are new. The stainless and chrome inside are excellent. The seats, door panels and dash are nice. This has the tilt away steering wheel, power wing windows, power windows, power steering and brakes. The wipers, lights and turn signals function properly. The convertible top is nearly new and works well. The 390 V8 motor runs like a watch and starts right up. The automatic transmission is smooth. The exhaust is quiet and the brakes work properly. The suspension is tight and drives well at 65 mph. The trunk is done nicely with a new spare. The chrome wire wheels and tires are new. This car has a presence.
