Vehicle Detail
Super excited to offer this truck to you! Not a RARE truck but definitely on the list of hard-to-gets!! I call it "made from UnObtanium"! Florida raised. Super duper clean. Ready to haul....your boat....your camper....car trailer....family. READY TO GO! NO RESERVE!! Beautiful RUST FREE Florida truck! Originally from Maryland, the truck migrated south for the winter on a permanent vacation according to the Carfax(see pics in main selections). It has also been dealer serviced during most of it's lifetime! The seller literally drove the truck from Florida on a little trip to Texas then shipped it back to Illinois!! I personally have also logged about 100 miles to ensure it's reliability. The exterior looks amazing especially for it's age. 9 out of 10 all day. ZERO rust to be found. Vinyl plastic areas look great. Front and rear bumper covers have little to no scuffs. Not dried out and crusty. I can count on one hand how many dings are on the body. No dents. I didn't even find many rockchips...the hoodshield helped in this department. Body is straight with minimal touched up spots. Underneath you can tell the truck lived it's days without snow and salt. Teaser: note the condition of the aluminum rims below. Also...all the exterior illumination works as it should. Sadly the driver's side headlight interior had it's bulb reflector dislodge. Shockingly at night, the beam seems fine. The exterior obviously had some tasteful trim added on. The hood sports a nice silver covering along with a nice pinstripe along the sides. ALL are vinyl and could be removed at any time if desired. I think it looks great. Below you can see the roof looks nice with only a few remnants of a roof rack that was removed. No signs of any accidents, body repairs or repaints. Paint shines nicely. Above you can see the BRAND NEW TIRES at EVERY corner!! Literally has the nipples on em still!! No more than 100 miles on em as I picked the truck detailed up with the new skins installed. ONE THING you won't find on most 2500 GM trucks these days....nearly perfect NON-CORRODED aluminum rims!! Seriously....nearly spotless. No crust. No corrosion. No pitting. No soccer mom curb rash. ALL signs of a southern truck. Note the super straight body lines.... Again...rear bumper cover is nice as the front....no fading, minimal scuffs. No damages. Above and below...I thought this was a deep scratch in the plastic. Turns out it's not. It seems to be some sort of sap slobber!! Below(compared to above)you can see I am flaking it off with my thumb. A lil bit of elbow grease....aka...2 beers on a Saturday...and it will come right off! Above you may notice the light corner scuff on the bumper cover. No cracks or holes on the front or rear covers at least. Superb shine displayed on every panel. Onto the 8 out of 10 interior! Gorgeous! Typical wear consistent with a truck half it's age. Driver's bolster has minimal wear. No noticeable holes or damages to the leather or panels. I HATE smoke and can't see or smell any signs of a regular smoker. Steering wheel and buttons look great. Typical wear on the everyday user (windows/locks/etc) and radio buttons. About the ONLY interior eyesore is the headliner....looks as if someone got frisky with the spray glue. Pretty sure you and your passengers won't be staring up very long to even notice. Above you can see the 4wd controls work as they should as do ALL the power items that I could remember to test: windows, locks, sunroof, digital climate controls, AM/FM/CD player, cruise, mirrors, tow setting, OnSTAR, rear radio controls, HOT heat, ICE COLD Air Conditioning (The AC was blowing cold during this shoot but I could hear it cycling on and off-plan for an AC recharge), etc!!Below you can see ALL the dummy lights pop on during start with NONE staying on during run. No codes. No issues. Above altho hard to show in a picture, there are a couple cracks in the plastic of the dash plate. No holes or chunks at least. Easily glued if desired. Below, typical GM radio buttons show some wear. Buttons function as they should. Left rear panel is missing the little reflector. Easily replaced. Rear seating looks great. Carpet is nice, front and rear. No major stains or worn spots. Rear cover has a bit of fading, as does the upper rear trim section. Obviously from the Florida sun! Below the cargo area has a rubber mat to hold your items from sliding around. Underneath is a clean rust free bed. Above I snapped a pic of the edge of the door. As you may or may not know, 'round these midwest states, GM trucks rust as soon as they hit the first winter. Not this truck! Doors are solid. Frame isn't crusty. Exposed areas look as a southern truck should. Below you can see a bit of wear on the corner of the dash face edge. Typical GM coating flake. Sorry, no factory manuals are included altho there are 2 main keys. Under the hood resides 8.1 liter of awesomeness. Clean compartment. Brand new alternator. Battery looks fresh...it's strong and fires up the perfectly running engine. When I got the truck, the belts were a little squeaky, most likely from the old alternator. I replaced BOTH. Engine is smooth and quiet aside a little high mile valvetrain gurgle when it's cold (NOT to be confused with ticking/knocking). Purely nitpicking here. Engine pulls strong all the way to redline if needed. Oil is spotless. Filter looks recently changed. Exhaust is quiet. Transmission shifts as it should with no issues. Fluid is spotless. Coolant is clean as well. No overheating. Under the truck, no signs of oil or coolant leaks. Dry. No rusty crusty components. Jacked up the front for the wiggle and jiggle....nice and tight. Looks to be a new right outer tie rod end, in fact. Aftermarket K&N filter was pulled, cleaned and re-oiled for you. Mass Air meter cleaned with proper spray. Brakes are also strong. Visually about 40% pad left up front and nearly new rear pads out back. No grinding. No pulsing. Driving over any pavement, it drives straight with no unusual pulling or wandering. Suspension is tight with no rattles, pops or squeaks. We have proven the truck beyond ready to travel anywhere....now it's your turn!! BID, BUY, and DRIVE ANYWHERE and pull ANYTHING with 100% CONFIDENCE!! Inspect my excellent feedbacks. NO RESERVE!! GOOD LUCK!! PLEASE READ THE ENTIRE AD AND THE CONTENTS BELOW!!PLEASE REMEMBER: This vehicle is a USED vehicle, NOT NEW, used. Specifically a 12 year old car with 142+k miles. Since this is my source of income, I cherry-pick each vehicle to sell. I ALWAYS pass on any vehicle unworthy of your family and hard earned money. As with ALL my NO RESERVE auctions, you will be in a position to buy this car for a FRACTION of it's original purchase price. These vehicles are all versions that I would own for myself or offer my family. For 15 years now, I do the best that I can (personally doing everything from start to finish) in a short period of time to drive, inspect, repair, clean, pic and list the cars I sell. I will bet that your local dealership isn't providing this personal service. If they do?? Awesome. They should. But I guarantee you it's at a premium. I don't tolerate tire-kicking and nitpicking. I work hard to offer you the best that I have available to me. Doesn't matter if it's a $1500 or a $15,000 vehicle. Inspect my feedbacks, I don't sell junk and treat all my buyers as friends. I expect the same in return, please. GOOD LUCK! I am looking forward to doing business with you!The venue of sale is Will County, Illinois. Just in case "Florida Truck, No Rust, Not Crusty" don't work for you in the descriptions department...I added a couple quick shots from my phone in the main pictures section way up top!! Sorry they are small but they clearly show the spotless rockers and clean underside of the truck. You WILL NOT be disappointed! Thanks for looking....hope this helps! On May-08-16 at 19:23:35 PDT, seller added the following information: WELP....I let my fingers get the best of me....listing an 8.1 with a 454ci. I'm POSITIVE most of you bidders KNOW it's not a 454ci....it's actually the LESS COMMON 496ci BIG BLOCK!!! Clearly I need to get up to date with my big block conversion numbers!! Promise I was scratching my head when I was listing this one! Altho I'm sure there won't be any upset bidders, I am TRULY sorry for the confusion!! To be straight....this truck IS the 8100cc/8.1 liter/496cubic inch GM Big Block. Thanks for your understanding!! GOOD LUCK!!
