Vehicle Detail
I have had this 740iL for about 5 years and I am still amazed how powerful and comfortable the car is. My better half finally put her foot down and made me get a "newer" SUV for the family so the 740 has to go. It will be missed but there is no room for it in the garage anymore :( This is a no reserve price auction. I am hoping for a good home for this car, someone who can appreciate what this machine can do and can take good care of it in the future. Buyer is responsible for shipping. Car is in good overall condition. It is fully loaded with all the bells and whistles. Clear New Mexico title. Here is a list of pros and cons that I am aware of for this BMW. Pros:Very pretty blue/sandy-white color combinationVery clean inside, never smoked in, carpet in great shape. Leather on seats shows very little sign of use, much better then your average 15 year old car.Engine still going strongTires have about 10K milles on them so there is another 20 to 25K to goSpare tire brand newNavigationCell phone for emergency callsRadio, Multiple CD, Tape deckPower seats, windows, mirrorsSeat heaters and massagers (yes, you are reading it right, the front seats will massage your bottom and your back :)AC still strongLoaded with airbagsKey-less entry (3 remotes, 1 regular key, 1 vallet parking key)Built in garage openers Power rear sunshade, manual sunshades for side windows in the rearIf you are into skiing, it has ski storage sleeve in the trunk Cons:Front passager window not working (I have purchased the inside assembly but never installed it)Little bit of rust at the bottom of front passenger doorCup holders not sliding in and out, thus in "out position" at all times (typical bmw problem)Once in a while I hear a clunk noise from the rear right. I think it may need new strut (about $70 for two of them on eBay)There is a small oil leak that I never bothered to explore in detail. I just check the levels periodically and add oil as needed. About one quart for one thousand and half miles. After the car sits for a longer period of time with no use, a little bit of smoke comes out at the first start. I can't think of anything else to report. Obviously, this 740iL is sold as is due to the age of the car.Deposit of $300 required within 48 hours after the auction has ended.
