Upholstery and carpet: Faded and needs a good cleaning, as we this was our family and pet car. Recently steam-cleaned, vacuumed. Electronics (windows, locks, radio, NAV, etc...): Front door locks do not respond to remote; otherwise, all electronics are functionalEngine/transmission: Original clutch, timing belt replaced ~80k, all major maintenance intervals done, including 100k; no oil/fluid leaks.Steering/suspension: Usual wear, occasional squeaks but not a concern at last major service (100k)AC/heater: Fully functional; front heated seats work perfectly.Brakes: No known issues; pads replaced at about 80k, all highway miles since then.Tires: They still look good but were installed 70k miles ago; since then, 95% highway driving so wear is surprisingly minimal. Dealer might fix, due to acknowledged VW issue. Broken rear seat: One of the rear seats is broken and needs a bolt to retain it in place; probably a $5 bolt neededMissing Antenna: Second one broke off due to surfboards. Can buy them online or autoshop for nothing. Moon-roof seal: There is evidence of water intrusion, possibly due to a worn moonroof seal. Haven’t been able to locate it, in part because it isn’t bad. But it really should be replaced. Perhaps drains are clogged.Dog/Cat-mobile: Note that our dogs and cats were in the car, so those with strong pet allergies should pass. All carpeting has been steam-cleaned, vacuumed, and sterilized, but some fur remains.
