Vehicle Detail
1963 TRIUMPH TR6R SHOWBIKE/COLLECTIBLE Retired CEO downsizing personal motorcycle collection. This gorgeous 1963 TR6R has been in my personal collection for decades. Over 50 years old, this is a connoisseur’s motorcycle….the most exquisite 650 Triumph I’ve ever owned or seen. It is a stunningly beautiful, eye catcher, in mint condition---both cosmetically and mechanically. Paint is basecoat/clearcoat - Daytona Blue and Polychromatic Silver polished to a mirror-like gloss. Overall appearance and finish on entire bike is superior to new. Color combination is unique and strikingly one of a kind. This is a matching number motorcycle. Frame and engine have same factory numbers on them. This motorcycle has no dents, dings, scuffs or rust. Look at the photos carefully. Enlarge them and study the details. This bike invites scrutiny. The closer you look, the more you’ll see the depth of its beauty. The finish of virtually every surface is near perfection. There is one tiny flaw on the trailing edge of the rear fender where a show judge backed it into something while moving it. (Flaw can be seen in bottom row of photos - directly from rear on lower edge of rear fender just to left of the center stripe.) Everything electrical on this bike works perfectly—headlight, taillight, brake light, horn, parking light, ammeter, and original Chronometric speedometer. This bike is as nice as it gets. The battery is new. Chain, sprockets and clutch are excellent. Carb is clean and tuned. Engine is freshly tuned and starts easily. Transmission shifts smoothly once warmed up. Original factory mufflers give the bike the rich throaty sound Triumh 650’s are known for—authoritative, but not intrusive. Tires appear as new—Dunlop Roadmasters. Bike has been totally reconditioned. Everything except paint is stock as delivered when new. Original 1963 leather tool pouch complete with every tool is stored under the seat. Buyer will receive a notarized Bill of Sale, statement of insurance in owner’s name, as well as current police inspection form. Bike ownership is documented and has no liens. You can bid with confidence. This is an exquisite one of a kind bike that can be enjoyed for years to come. The bike is located in Birmingham, Alabama. Bike is also being listed for sale in other venues.
