My 1972 Buick Riviera "Boattail" was purchased three years ago from an owner in Oregon who brought the car up from California. It is low and mean with custom paint and wire wheels. What's more, this custom treatment was tastefully completed with metal flake and ghost layering along with attention to detail. My Riviera also has new carpet and newer upholstery, with the original radio replaced with a Custom Autosound unit that looks like the original, but has Bluetooth and Ipod hookup. The engine is original along with the transmission, which both operate flawlessly. Additionally, the AC and all lines and bracketry are there as well as even the smog accessories to keep this car as original as possible under the hood. The body is in excellent shape, with no rust and the rear bumper rechromed. Anytime I take this car out, people want to take pictures with it and give thumbs up. However, the car is not perfect and will need some TLC to take it to the next level. As you can see in the pictures, there is checking paint on the hood, but no where else, but does have a few chips near the driver mirror. Additionally, the dash has cracks, the wire rims have surface rust, and the gas gauge has recently stopped working. Unfortunately, I just don't have the time to complete these tasks and give my Boattail the time it deserves. .
