1980 Cadillac Eldorado. LOWEST MILEAGE 1980 ELDORADO IN THE WORLD. REAL ORIGNAL 55 MILES!!!. I am selling this car for a very close friend of mine who is an avid Collector, (Primarily European cars) I have been trying to help him cut down on some of his cars to make room for some new purchases. I am sure you are wondering how is this possible and here is how. The original owner purchased this car new from a cadillac dealer in Manhattan, parked the car in his garaged and sadly passed away right after his purchase. His wife left the car in the garage unattended for over 33 years. She then passed away and her family came forth to gain possession of the car before selling the house. The was purchased from a friend who is a house flipper who discovered the car. The exterior of this car is all original and untouched. There are a few areas on the car where the paint has blistered with some minor surface rust from water droplets from the garage. The car is not rotted or anything like that, this is strictly on the surface caused from the leaky garage. The paint will shine like new with little effort! if someone wants to keep the car as it is. To state the obvious the car needs bumper fillers and hubcaps. They were missing when the car purchased. The interior of the car is drop dead gorgeous. It looks new like the day it was on the showroom floor. All of the seats, carpet, dash board and door panels glisten like new. Remember this car was not exposed to uv light! Even the headliner is perfect! It has a rich leather smell to it, something that can't be duplicated! This cars was not in any sort of flooding or water, It just lived a dark life of an old garage. The original tires are in amazing condition they only have some minor cracking, they look as though they never went flat. 1980 is the best year for this car period. 81 was essentially the same car but had the cylinder deactivation which created all sorts of problems, 82 and newer cars had the HT4100. This car was originally purchased with 54 Miles and was not starting, the gas tank was dropped and cleaned out along with fuel lines and of course the oil and filter were changed. The brakes were not working due to a bad brake line which was changed along with all the brake fluid. The car runs and will drive, the alternator was not charging so that was rebuilt and works great now. The car is also idling to low so you have to hold a little gas to keep it idling. The electric idle control valve seems to not be working. This car is almost 36 years old so I recommend the car to be gone through before any long driving. We did test drive drive the car less then a mile and the transmission shifted great the brakes works fine. The heater core was bypassed due to a leak that was noticed when running. It is also recommend that the car be fully gone through before driving, Spark plug wires are also original and should be changed. The battery should also be changed. This is a 35+ Year old car so please expect the car to need some work. Tires are also flat spotted from sitting. PLEASE ONLY THE MOST SERIOUS OF BUYERS!!! PHONE CALLS ARE PREFERED. The paint is not faded at all, the car is just dirty. There is a lot of glare in the pictures as well. Besides the minor surface blister spots the paint is perfect. I would like to note that some of the pictures were taken of the car outside the original house when first taken out of the garage. The pictures with the green house and garage was were this car lived for over 30+ years.
